Ok I bought these headphones in search of a high quality alterintive to the bose over ear headphones , and I think I found them. The sound is crisp enough to tell what device your listening to like a CD player or an Ipod I mean really I can tell what charge my touch is at by the charcter of the tone its so good. though the bass leaves some to be desired. you have to bump up the bass on the device your listening to really feel the music. The "over ear" part is also kinda misused too they fit well on the ear but listing for more than say 4 or 5 hours gets abit uncomfy but then again even the light weight headphones also have that problem. It blocks alot of sound in the low tones so Its great DJing with larger speaker set up's and the folding ear cups really come in handy for taking lots of requests. The device that drives the sound is very large so the headphone seem a little weak but so far i havent broken anything and still enjoy listing to music because with these headphones its like a trip in the woods you always find something new. I dont know If these are the headphone under 90 bucks for your Ipod or cd player but they make you feel like they are.

I got these to replace a pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones that I've have for 20 years. The last pair wore out. These have a great sound tone and the are great compared to the old ones. The bass sounds good without vibrating my ears off. the rest of the range is very clear and sounds are very distinct and clear. I use these with my computer and my MP3 player. Setting the equalizer on different settings is the best way to get the sound you want. I get just enough bass and treble that way. My only complaint would be that the headgear is a bit tight on my head for long wearing. The ability to cancel outside nose is good but not total. Full ear coverage would fix that if you want that. As it is, I can't hear my wife yelling at me when I'm wearing these and that's good for me!

i buy sony everything, so i purchased these. i wanted good sound something i can use for a long time. The sound is good, good bass good mids and highs. i will say not loud enough for me, they are loud enough to where you cant hear whats going on around you but not much more than that. the cord seems like good quality, i was expecting more for the price. so far so good. if i had to purchase again i probbly wouldnt. good not great

Decent Headphones, not worth $80, no bass/lows!!!!

These headphones are not worth $80, they should be sold for around $40 at most. The construction of the headphones has a nice weight to them and dont feel cheaply made. The DJ style construction (swivel ear) is nice. But overall the headphones just dont produce hardly any bass low tones.
