This is what i wish marvel still did

The movie is fun, but you already knew that. So, instead, I'm reviewing this bundle. I have a 3D projector, and watching this movie on it is an absolute delight. But sometimes it's fun to spontaneously throw a movie up on a mobile device or Chromecast - less effort, no glasses... quick fun. With the digital copy included, that's easy. So I love this package. Seems that all the marvel titles they sell these days force you to choose between 3D blu-ray or digital copy. You can't get both anymore, and that's too bad. Still, any time i can expand my collection with 3D and digital, I'll do it. I hope Best Buy starts getting more of these sorts of bundles on stock again.

I have been a Spider-man fan since I was a kid, and collected comics for many years until recently. I liked the other two iterations of live action Spider-man, but neither the Toby Maguire, or Andrew Garfield versions ever fully captured the character for me. I can say that Marvel finally was able to recreate the same kid from the comic that I always liked reading about. Tom Holland does a wonderful job of being Peter Parker, with the desire to do good, no matter what happens to himself. I look forward to seeing him on screen again in Infinity War soon. On a technical note, this disc is well laid out, with several good behind the scenes videos. Great video and audio quality, as I have come to expect from Disney, Marvel, and of course, the Blu-ray format.

I thought this product was really great to have and if your a fan of Spider-Man like me you should buy this movie you won’t be disappointed and you won’t regret it. I love all the Spider-Man films in general even the classics in general but I will say this is one of the most legit interpretations of Spider-Man I’ve ever seen and not to mention one of the best films I’ve ever seen. I recommend for anybody to watch it if you haven’t seen it already and this movie is really fun to watch and it has some good laughs but it also has a lot of action which I liked and enjoyed watching a lot. This is one the best and one of the most entertaining films I’ve ever seen.

So far I might like this third edition the best. Even though I have several of the other two versions as well. Like all Marvel movies, this one has plenty of special effects and even some good humor.

I know, it is the 6th Spider-man movie, and the 3rd attempt at Spider-man, but with Marvel buying the rights, they did it right. No origin story in this one as they already introduced Spidey in Captain America Civil War. Not to mention we have seen Peter bitten by a spider twice already, we kinda know how it happens. They take it back to a young Peter Parker still in high school and no fast forward to him swinging through the big city. Because of this it keeps the movie nice and light with a young kid trying to be a big super hero. Good action sequences and the humor we expect from Marvel makes this a must own movie. Not to mention we now get Spidey in more Marvel Cinematic Universe films going forward. Highly recommend, enjoy!

    Great start to Spiderman

The visuals and a Spiderman close to the age that Stan Lee envisioned when he created the character make this a refreshing beginning to the Sptderman origin. We have a Spiderman that's at the beginning starting to learn what it takes to be a superhero and that is refreshing plus a real world take on the character the Vulture. Plus having him integrated into the MCU is a plus. The story is brisk with not seemingly padded which is a problem with origin stories. The characters don't seem out of place but Aunt May seems a little too young. But that's a personal nitpick as Aunt May was always in her late sixties in the comic books. The transfer is without flaw and looks dazzking in 3D (my prefered way to watch the movie).

Spiderman movies keep getting better and so far this version is the best. Especially when viewed in 4K, the audio and video are excellent! A great comination of action and humor. Definiely a must-have for any collection of movies.

    Two part review

Part one for the product: The BD version is very sharp, sound quality is good. It is very shiny and pleasant to look at. The movie is OK. The plot is extremely derivative of the first Tobey Maguire movie, especially the moment when the hero and villain realize they know each other, and the fact that the bad guy wears a mask and rides a flying machine. As a stand-alone movie, it was still somewhat disappointing, as it feels more like an Iron Man spin-off than its own Spider-man film (even with Stark designing the suit, which I think is disgraceful). I will say that Tom Hardy makes a very good Spider-man and a decent Peter Parker. He does banter with villains better than Tobey, maybe even Mr. Garfield. I hope future films find their groove, and we don't need a 4th iteration of this hero.

Since Spider-Man was announced to be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I've been ecstatic about seeing what Marvel does with their character. Tom Holland made a major impression in Captain America: Civil War, and improves on that in his own film. I like how Marvel just decided to go ahead and have Peter Parker already be Spider-Man rather than an origin story. I also liked that the character is a high schooler and it feels more realistic compared. Michael Keaton is also excellent as the villian, Adrian Toomes, who also has a strong motivation for doing what he does. It was also nice to see Tony Stark and Happy Hogan involved, as well as cameos by Captain America and Pepper Potts.

Originally saw it in theaters and it was in the middle of a thunder storm so the power kept going out an hour into the movie. I sat through it three times and loved it each time. Watching it again at home was just as fantastic and Tom Holland does a superb job as Peter Parker. The best part of this movie is Michael Keaton. He is one of the best villains in the MCU because there is a human reasoning to him, he doesn’t just want to destroy stuff or rule the Galaxy he is looking out for his family and his colleagues. He also has respect for Peter and from what I could gather, is a former military man. That may be incorrect but he carries himself like a man with a family and a past.

What can be said about your friendly neighborhood Spiderman...this movie will make you continue your love for the loveable web head. Tom Holland is amazing ad he portrays the latest version of Marvel's Spiderman as he swings through the streets and finally back into the MCU as he takes on the Vulture played by the awesome Micheal Keaton. This movie will keep you laughing and on the edge of your seat as you watch Spiderman try and find his place with new powers and as a new member of the Avengers. Guest appearances by Robert Downey Jr. And Marisa Tomei as Aunt May Add this to your ever growing MCU collection and, Enjoy!

I was a huge fan of Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Spiderman, so I went into this having reservations. I liked that they decided to skip out on the Uncle Ben portion of the story, since we have already seen that so many times. The villain stole the show though. Michael Keaton's performance of the Vulture was exceptional. I love when villains ride the line between good and evil. The grey zone where they are extreme, but you sympathize with why they are doing things. Keaton captures this perfectly. He makes you feel for him as a villain, and pulls you in deeper to the story. Making it hard decide who you are rooting for at times.

Spiderman was one of my favorite comic books growing up. Spiderman, Punisher, X-Men we're the ones that I read regularly before any of the superhero movie craze started in 90's. This movie is the true comic experience for me - I didn't for a moment feel like this was anything but the spiderman I grew up with. At it's heart this is a high school movie, a modern refresh of your John Hughes, She's All That, 10 Thing I Have About You as much (if not more) than a super hero movie. All of the characters feel authentic with teen angst and axieties, particularly Flash and Ned. My wife and I both loved this movie, truly more than just a summer blockbuster.

Movie is great! I didn't like the Andrew Garfield movies but they were watchable. But Tom Holland movies are well written and interesting. As for the steelbook, I remember in the old days they didn't really get restock. But now it keeps selling out and coming back. I am so glad I got this at a very good price. I am not a fan at all of the pop art covers. I hate almost all of them. But at least it's steelbook and a little more collectible so I got it.

    3rd Star To Play Spider-Man

So is the kid any better then any of the other Spider-Men? I don't know. They have all be OK movies. I think Sony shot themselves in the fool over the original 3 where they kept spending so much they couldn't make a buck. Then they revamp it with a new star and I think it kind of went down the same path with the other 2. Now launch the career of a third star to play him. Ok he was fun in THE AVENGERS movie. Now a movie devoted to him. I was curious about the title what is "Homecoming" Duh as in High School..... I don't know it was OK. I think the funnest part was having Michael Keaton play a kind of Bird Man - oh wait he did that in BIRD MAN which also spun off his BATMAN success. For that reason it was an inside gag that only film geeks might pick up on. Other than that MK was OK in the role. I called out who he was in 'real life' in the picture which really doesn't take a degree to figure out. If you want a mind numbing Marvel action flick with Iron Man in it every little bit you'll probably enjoy it. I can say it was awful

I never got into the Spiderverse, however I'm watching all of the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and this was a great surprise. He was truly the hometown hero, and that was such a wise choice for this movie! His interactions with the Avengers was also well done. This kid was a real gift to the acting world, and the kid playing his friend cracked me up as well. Super great choice exploring Peter wanting more before gaining that experience we all need. Well done, we miss you Stan!

I have loved reading the Spiderman comics for as long as I can remember, there just was something about the comics that were a bit more realistic than some of the other ones. When I heard about this movie, I was a bit apprehensive that it was a reboot as we have seen 3 different actors play Peter Parker so far. Luckily, Homecoming proved me wrong with its characteristic Spiderman humor. Sure in Marvel fashion some of the jokes landed better than some of the other ones, but overall, it was a fun time. It also provided one of the best Marvel villains to grace the silver screen so far. I can't wait to see Tom Holland in his next iteration.

Marvel teams up with Sony to bring Spider-man to the MCU ( marvel cinematic universe) By doing so they can now share license and story arc the character with the well established ( DISNEY ) Avenger's movies. Spider-man has always been a fan favorite and this movie has a lot of the Disney Magic that makes the MCU work so well. Having IRON MAN with Spider-Man in the same movie what's not to like. Seeing Michael Keaton back in movies is just icing on top of the cake. This movie is very well written and Tom Holland brings spark back to the character Peter Parker and of course Spider-man. Pick this one up you won't be disappointed.

After a few middling releases, Sony finally did the right thing and gave permission to Marvel Studios to release a new Spider-Man movie, and we've be given Spider-Man: Homecoming, a worthy MCU entry featuring Tom Holland (The Impossible), Michael Keaton (Batman) and Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man). While not really an origin movie (a refreshing change), we actually are getting a great story about Peter Parker dealing with high school life, at the same time trying to earn his Avengers "stripes", by taking on Michael Keaton's Vulture, with some mentoring from Tony Start, aka Iron Man. Highly-recommended.

After we got our 4k OLED tv we started noticing that not all 4k movies are created equal. If you are looking for True 4k, search true 4k vs real 4k. There's a list and it is spot on. I found the list after watching this and thinking that it didn't seem as crisp and detailed as the 4k Star Wars movie we watched. Sure enough, it's not True 4k. it's upscaled. Which is STILL AMAZING!!! But not as good as True 4k. So while it won't be as amazing as it was in the theaters, it's still a really AMAZING Spiderman movie and worth the upscaled 4k. (See what I did there.)
