This game offers a ton of content with various land areas, side missions, and character development. The graphics and music are top notch, much like previous Elder Scroll games. Like other MMOs, you can put in as little or as much effort into the side tasks as you want, which helps avoid a sense of grinding. Despite having so much content, you will eventually feel a sense of repetiveness with the missions. The only drawback I've encountered so far is that as an MMO, there's the expectation that you'll be playing with other people, so some dungeons are only accessible if you're playing in a group. And naturally, this is where the best loot is found. If you don't have friends playing this game, there is the option of a "group finder" tool, but if you're looking to play solo this aspect might be disappointing.

I got the game when it first came out. Of course with any MMORPG the launch is going to experience huge lag. However, it should not have lasted that long. The European servers were not as full as the American one so I just switched over there permanently. The game itself is great, but I'm not sure if it will survive off the F2P micromarket system that it has in place now. Nontheless, I still support the game and I am a ESO + member. Right now I don't think ESO + is worth it, but when they release DLC then it will be as you don't have to pay for the DLC since it is included in the ESO + membership. You could probably have more than 200+ hours of gameplay and still not be finished, there is so much to do. Try to get a group running together doing quests and dungeons otherwise it can get boring by yourself after awhile.

Kind of got roped into playing this because I recommended a possible free to play fun MMO to my friend so he bought it on impulse. He could not stop playing Elder scrolls online and explained how fun it was. I followed and I bought it while it was on sale + have my gamers club and got a killer deal on the game so I don't feel so bad about it if I don't like it. Well I ended up liking it, a lot! It's very fun and I can see myself getting lost in many hours of adventuring like my days in Oblivion and Skyrim. Downfalls I have with this game is, It's Online only. Getting kicked for random reasons does get old. One day, this game's servers will shutdown and render it dead. I hate games like that so replay value = dead. It's a live in the moment kind of game. Play it now while it's big and it'll die for another MMO to be born type game. So personal recommendation. Buy this game on Sale and make sure you have Xbox Live. It's a lot of fun but don't pay full price for it. I've seen it hit sales twice. I snagged it for around $32 range after a sale + Gamers club. I feel it's worth that much thanks to it's online only nature.

I have been a fan of Elder Scrolls since the Oblivion days. I am excited for the chance to enjoy the fantasy world alongside other online players but this game does not have the same feel as oblivion or skyrim. It's easy to lose the important feeling your character has as a role player in this massive world with so many other players. Maybe allow more control how many people you can connect with online instead of passing everybody doing the same mission as you. It's hard to beat for the price, and overall good game, but if you love the independence of older elder scrolls games then try before you buy.

This game looks good and is a lot of fun to play. If you enjoyed other Elder Scroll games definitely pick this up and even if you are new to the series this is still for you. Graphics look amazing and gameplay is very smooth. I was a little worried as I am used to these type of games on pc but it does work well with a controller. The only downside about this game is if you are trying to play with a friend. It is a little buggy to get teleported to friends and if you are not on the same exact quest and the same exact part of this quest it is pointless doing together. So as far as an MMORPG experience I don't really get the feeling of it. It is a great solo game and it does have a dungeon finder feature but I cannot comment on that as I have no used it yet. All and all a great game still some kinks to work out but I would imagine they will be fixed in time.

it's great in its own right. I was expecting, and kinda hoping for a game similar to Skyrim and in some ways it is. It's still open world, it's still a great RPG, it's still beautiful, it's still got all the races, and it's still amazingly fun and addicting. Some mechanics have changed how ever and not all for the better. Now your character isn't under a max weight limit, but a max item limit that starts out at an incredibly low sixty, but now there's an item bank!... Which also has a limit of sixty... Plus magic has completely changed and so has the combat system but that you have to realize is because it is now a HUGE MMORPG which I can understand and you eventually get past. All in all, it's new, it's different, but it's still got that amazing Bethesda feel to it!

    Great Elders Scrolls Game

This game is a great addition to the Elder Scrolls series. I loved Oblivion and Skyrim so this was a no brainer on day one. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is fun. Online only play is my only complaint because sometimes servers can be down (but that has not happened too much since launch). Other players can help kill enemies (which is nice) or take the quest items (which is annoying as this sometimes requires you to wait for the item to respawn so you can collect it).

I have only gotten to play this game for a few hours but every time I start to play it's hard to put it down. The graphics are great and it's got much of the gameplay similar to Skyrim. However, it does not have the solitary exploration but it is still super fun to play and other people will help you fight tougher enemies. There are thousands of quests, especially if you create a character on each of the three groups. Although the connection has been flaky so far, there has been significant improvement and is to be expected since this is one of the first MMORPGs on consoles. If you're an Elder Scrolls fan, a fantasy game fan, or just a general RPG fan, I strongly encourage you to buy this game.

A good, expansive journey into The Elder Scrolls

My friend and I were looking for a game to start playing that would give us enough content that we could keep coming back to it over and over again down the road. Since we both enjoyed Skyrim and other Elder Scrolls games, we decided to give this a try. What you get is an expansive MMORPG that takes place in the world of The Elder Scrolls. It pretty much gives you the opportunity to do even more than other games. The gameplay, visuals, and so on are pretty much identical to Skyrim, which isn't a bad thing. Now everyone starts out the same: you wake up in a dungeon, kill some enemies, save, if I recall his name correctly, the oracle, and end up in the world. From there it really comes down to what you want to do. You can take on quests in pretty much an order and since it is an MMORPG you are usually alongside other players. I will say that in order to play with friends, you all must be with the same faction of which there are three total; you select your faction in the beginning where the character customization takes place. Besides that it really is an Elder Scrolls game on a very large scale. The reason I don't give this game a five is because the game feels very slow to me. Now I played a lot of Skyrim but I feel like the action and gameplay was much faster in comparison. However, the expansiveness and the practically endless opportunities for Elder Scrolls fans to keep playing in a universe they have come to love is why I still give this game a four.

If you like other elder scrolls games you'll like this. I don't really like MMOs so i was hesitant to get this at first. But me and my friends were looking for a game to play together and this fit the bill. Turns out it's super fun. I don't really have any complaints about it. Get it if you like Elder Scrolls, it offers a pretty solid single player experience as well as the MMO stuff. The main story is Solo only, as well as all the guild missions. Which is kind of weird seeing as it's an MMO but you can still play it without other people if you want. Fun game, get it if you're thinking about it

An Elder Scrolls game that you can play with friends? What could be better than that? The long awaited ESO lives up to the expectations! It seamlessly blends the open world structure and enthralling storylines of the Elder Scrolls franchise with the character progression and coop missions of a classic MMO. The xbox one graphics and fully voiced character interactions take the immersion to all new levels. The only criticism of this game is that every part is open world so its possible to visit areas with hundreds of players also on the same mission but it is easy to overlook when the rest of the game is so well designed.

The game seems to be just like Skyrim in the sense of graphics and feel. I expected it to be similar but not more smooth and jaw-dropping so that is partially my fault for the high expectations. It IS a fun game though, especially when you are playing with friends. It makes you live an alternate life as you explore a new world in a fantasy game filled with action and adventure.

Bought for my son who is a big Elder Scrolls fan. This game has alot of hate on internet and we are not sure why. Bought the game used which looked like a brand new game in original case with inserts. My son has been playing it and really enjoying it. If you are a skyrim fan and would like to continue I would recommend this game

If you are buying this game with the notion that it is like its predecessor, Skyrim, then you will surely be disappointed. The game itself is pretty good, as an MMO, it had problems in the beginning with servers, but these issues have since been corrected. If you like MMORPG's and also like the Elder Scrolls universe and lore I would def. recommend!
