I pre purchased this item and was billed for the original price and shipped before officially released on Tuesday however I didn't receive it until Wednesday therefore I could have got it at bestbuy store on Tuesday and at a lower price so I called to get price lowered because they offered it cheaper when released. A week later it dropped price again at Best Buy but they would not honor the lowest price even though it was within two weeks from there first established price. Believe it or not it dropped again on Bestbuy.com within the second week. I really feel that if they lower cost I should have been automatically reimbursed down to the lowest amount. From $26.95 to $19.95 to $17.95 to at last $14.95. I will not preorder because I could have waited and got it at lowest price since guarantee price match can only be done once and I got that first match, but no more. Really I understand if it was a competitors price match but come on when bestbuy lowers price like I mentioned above, I as a customer should be taken care to receive the best price especially when all this transpired in a two week period.

The movie is a great one, but this product is suspect. The conventional HD disk works just fine, but the 4K disk (the reason I made the purchase) does not. It constantly stop for buffering. I have attempted to run this disk with two different 4K capable TV's that I own. The poor performance of the 4K disc is the same for both TV's. The remaining possibility may be that my 4K disc player is defective, but that has worked correctly with other 4K disc's (progreaming) that I have.

If I hadn't seen Gravity and Interstellar before this, I may have had a different experience with Martian. I still can't see what the fuss was about with all the Oscar nominations. It's good to fair if that. Kinda left me looking to the stars for something else out there.

I didn't buy the situation. Matt Damon never appeared to be in jeopardy. He acted like he was on vacation for most of the movie. Supporting cast was questionable. Skip this one and watch Silent Running or even Moon.

I found this movie to be one that holds your attention. This situation could happen in the future if we were to explore the planet Mars. It would take a scientist to accomplish what he does and is dedicated to staying alive. Any event like this would require a great commitment by NASA for rescjue

The movie is amazing itself, the 4K added all the charms. The only complaint is when added to iTunes it does not recognize as 4K because it is the Martian Extended Edition, there are other copies of Martian in iTunes which are 4K,

Purchased movie based on previews of when movie first aired. I did not read any of the reviews, however I wished I had. Very slow movie. Fell asleep on it a couple of times but had a really good ending. Glad I didn't pay to go see the movie at the theatre.

I got this a gift but the employee didn't know what he was doing and didn't pick up the right version and have to go back and return it and get the right version because I thought to save time by having a family get the film.

I was really hoping for some great interstellar 3D effects. What I got was obviously manufactured backgrounds. All the stars are the same size and color (pinpoints of white). Could have done without the disco music.

Returned the movie because it froze up. On the extended version, the mouths didn't sync up to the dialogue.

The Martian by all means visually is a very nice film to look at. The acting though is a little loose. I can see why the studio label it a "comedy" because it's more light comedy than drama.

Did not like this flick. Matt gave a bad performance. If you all could watch mission to mars with Gary Sinese and Tim Robbins you will see that this movie is more realistic than Martian.

The 4 k looks amazing but I swear this movie is boring. I fell asleep twice trying to watch the movie. I know it won awards but I found it boring. Sorry.

For all the hype about this movie it was disappointing. Certainly not in the same league as Appolo 13 or even Gravity. There is lots of drama but it is not gripping enough.

Not sure why there was so much hype for this. As much as I would hate to say this I felt Gravity to be a better movie. In regards to 3D Gravity certainly surpasses.

I want to watch this movie because outer space is one of my favor to watch but this movie is not much about the space. It focus more about how to survive with little food.

I was not craxy about this. Too much him by himself. They should have done somethinig crazy like found a ancient culture or something. He should stick to Bourne movies.

There is no upgrade to the 4k in both video and sound quality. I have ATMOS and this movie does not deliver!

The movie wouldn't play. I don't doubt best buy would have exchanged it for me but I just didn't have the time or ambition to do it

Cast away meets space. I had high hopes for this movie, but the story is predictable, lacking, and feels like it was made for tv.
