Used, installed & recommended Trend Micro successfully for yrs & this is 1st time had intensive & time consuming difficulty installing renewed version. With on line & voice I talked w techs customer help desk. 1st voice guy wanted access to try to view issue. OK & then ...ooh it still doesn't install..... but I can continue & should get it installed for $189. I am a Lady, so my response was "no thank you". Tried again later & next voice guy (not disparaging guys but they factually were guys) was pretty much "beats me". I decided to take my computer in to my local Geek Squad if major changes were required. I wanted eyeball to eyeball with my "computer confidant specialist professional". I am leaving it here.... open...... what happened ..........

I switched from Norton to Trend when my antivirus was expiring. I have had so many advertisement tabs pop up that I purchased Norton again. I tried to uninstall the Trend and I thought it was removed but there was still a file on my C: drive that would not allow me to remove it. I called Trend support and their support did the exact same things I tried. She then tried to talk me into paying one of their third parties to remove the application.

It was outdated and NOT supported by Trend Micro any more and could not be downloaded or installed. No where on the outside of the box did it have a date of warning that it may not be supported by Trend or an expiration date. Once I opened the box it was labeled "Best Buy Trend Micro Maximum Security 2018" Best Buy gave me a difficult time in returning this product because I had opened the box but after a lengthy conversation with management was able to return the product.

worst software I have ever bought it would not download and kept giving me an error and of course Best Buy doesn't take back software it was like throwing money in the trash. Lesson learned I will never buy any software from BB again.

When we were unable to install at home, my daughter took the product to Geeks at a local Best Buy with our computers. The employee said that we did not need it because we already had a plan that included security. He allowed us to return the newly purchased Trend Micro Security product and get a refund. He made sure we were connected before she left the store.

It’s too soon to rate the products. Purchase was just over 3 weeks ago and so far the service for computer set up has been lousy. So I’m actually just beginning to even use the computer and it’s been rough going. The store does not have enough staff for adequate customer service.

Problem: I could not get the installation to accept my code. Therefore I went online and installed the Trend Micro Security that way. I will return the box soon.

The website that’s In the book to download the antivirus on your computer page has been deleted so I had to return it because I could download the software

I purchased this product for my MAC and it does not work properly. It keeps telling me to update. How this keeps going in an infinite circle.

This software takes over your computer. Blocks everything and Geek Squad only supports certain types of this software. Horrible!

It did not work on my computer, and Bust Buy refused to give me a refund.

Not compatible with Malwarebytes. Can't install software until it is removed. No warning on box.

this is crappy internet security it make your laptop run slow dont buy and you get virus and spy ware.

I did not open the box at all but best buy did not accept the return.

So far so good. Product seems to be working it’s magic.

The code is it working. No one knows why. Not my usual experience with TrendMicro.

Purchased this online a week ago. The link to the Digital Library for downloading did not work. Called BB Customer service and the people were thoroughly unprofessional and rude. They were laughing at me and offered no help whatsoever. Contacted Trend Micro and a week after purchasing they provided me with a license key for downloading and installing the software. A day after installing I had to uninstall it because the software keeps shutting down my wi-fi connection every hour. Uninstalled the product and installed a different brand of AV software--end of problem. 2 Lessons learned: 1: Don't use Trend Micro 2: Don't purchase anything from Best Buy if one expects good customer service.

Purchased this product after another antivirus product proved incompatible with OS 10.15 Catalina. Worked well with Catalina to begin with, but when OS upgraded to 10.15.1 internet performance slowed to a crawl, I mean dial-up speed. After contacting tech support and downloading their "fix" internet performance still sub-par. I wasted my money on this product. It is not an acceptable product for a Mac's antivirus needs.
