    Friendly team, damaged wall, incomplete install

    The install team was friendly. The screws from the TV mount went out the other side of the wall, so now I am working with their insurance company for a repair. The install was incomplete because they could not add the in wall power. I waited three weeks for them to complete the in wall installation only to be told it would cost more than originally quoted and they did not want to do the work with the hardware the first team approved. Communication could be improved.

    TV was mounted nicely and devices were connected. However, during the process an unsightly hole was left in my wall. The technicians patched it up with putty which made it look even worse. Technicians should have been more attentive in what they were doing and using the stud finder correctly.

    There was some miscommunication with the original Geek Squad member that was dispatched to install our TV and soundbar, so we had to wait over a month from purchasing to installation. The guys were really nice once they got out here, but they had issues installing. We ended up having to move both the TV and soundbar due to the height and spacing being off, and they didn't do a great job patching the holes in the wall. They also wouldn't run the cords through our in-wall cable conduit run and said it was against company policy. My wife and I can't remove the TV from the wall ourselves, so we've resorted to painting masking tape the same color as our walls and taping the cords down to hide them for the time being. I'll pass on this service the next time I decide to purchase from Best Buy.

    I ordered my frame tv and wanted it installed the first time geek squad came to install they brought the tv with no power cord. Then I had to wait another week to get the tv and get it installed but I wasn’t able to take another day off of work so I had a family memeber open the door for them and let them mount it after I arrived home they didn’t hide the tv wires inside the wall like I wanted and my sound at wasn’t installed either since I didn’t purchase the tv stand my family memeber didn’t know where to put it but if the first time I took off work they would’ve came prepared I wouldn’t have a frame tv which I got because it looks like a picture Frame but what picture frame has wires coming. Out of it just disappointed and wish the would finish the original job

    Not High Quality or Expert - Botches TV Install

    Horrible customer service. No one called in advance to see what materials they would actually need for the TV install job. They showed up lacking enough cable covers or extension cords to make this a quality install, but of course I had no idea because I’ve never done this before and they are supposed to be the experts. They ran out of cable covers 1/3 of the way through the job, the cable covers quickly pulled away from the wall because the extension cords were too short, and they left me with big gaping paint holes in my walls And a pathetic unfinished installation that I am now trying to figure out how to fix. When I became upset at their obvious lack of preparation or knowledge, they quickly left and I’m left trying to figure out how to make this install work. If this is expert service, don’t waste your time.

    The men we’re not professional. They have only been installing TV for 1 year. They did not know what they were doing. When they left the wires behind the TV we’re just hanging loose. The Best Buy tech I had before was excellent installing our TV. They sent these two unprofessional installers because my TV broke 2 months after I

    Installation of TVs was fine. They charged me an additional $150 to conceal power cord in the wall. Fine, I agreed to that but the cord they brought was too short. It was literally 3" long and would not reach the outlet, so I have to get my own cord. And, they asked if I wanted an HDMI cord installed with the concealed power cord. I agreed, as it sounded like it was included in the power installation. The guy didn't mention a price and I figured even if they charged me for the cord, that would be no more than $10... They sprung a surprise $50 charge on me for a 12" HDMI cord. Again, those are $10 in the store. That surprise extra charge and the fact their cord didn't even reach the outlet was disappointing.

    The two young men that came to mount my television were very friendly and meant well, but when they saw my gaming setups throughout the house, they became excited and neglected the task at hand... I was forced to leave the room, as one of the young men had to complete simple tasks over again because he was so focused on asking me questions about my gaming PCs. There are four holes left in my wall as they started puncturing the wall to mark the beam locations without first measuring the mount itself, which resulted in four holes that were unusable and I'll need to fill and repaint to repair... With this said, the TV looks great mounted, but I think I should have hired a more professional team...

    Mounted too low, and then nothing was mounted in the wall. The cable box was mounted high so the wires stuck out the top of the TV. I had to redo it all. CS has given me the run around.. IF you are totally inept with tools, then they will do a "fine" job. If your a perfectionist and have tools. Save yourself the money and aggrevation. You can do it just as good if not better. I know I did.

    Tv mounting on wall is nice. Exposed wires and cable box is not nice. Previous dealings with geek squad was perfect. Everything was hidden behind tv. Not happy.

    Tech guy did not do a good job in hiding the cables to the behind the wall outlet. They didn’t even vacuum the dust from the wall molding.

    The Samsung 55” 8k tv has an additional separate box used for connecting additional HDMIs. They mounted it with the connections facing right so with a wall mount they stick out of the sides of the tv. The extra box also limits the movement of the wall mount

    Made me buy a new TV mount claiming that the TV needed to hit 3 studs not 2. The mount was designed to hit two studs and was rated for a much bigger TV than what was being mounted. Now I have the task of taking the mount back to the store and returning.

    Yikes. Best Buy rep installed our sound bar. It was hanging off the wall. My wife told him it didn’t look right. He said “it ain’t going anywhere.” Later that night we were awoken to a thud. It fell off the way. So I did it myself.

    Did not show up for first and second appointment due to installers "personal issues, third - Maybe forth or fifth (lost track) came but was unprepared and could not complete and finally TV was installed and appears to be hung correctly but this was a very frustrating experience with numerous reschedules.

    sent one person to install a 75 inch tv. I had to assist the installer. When he left the tv tilted (see photo). It was not properly mounted and they had to come back to properly install it. I had to take another day off of work to have it installed correctly. I would not recommend this service.
