I love how the piece fits perfectly in my home. It's very sturdy and is built well minus the one drawer rail. My 65" TV fits looks great sitting on it. I really love how the back has magnetic boards to make it easier to get to the back of the components.

Excellent quality. The stand was well packaged and there were no scratches or dings anywhere once I got it out. It's a beautiful, high stand and looks incredible.

Hats-off to BestBuy for delivering this right to our living room with basically with no set-up needed other than cutting away the box and sliding the drawers in. I was surprised at it's solid construction and beautiful appearance for the price. We bought this for our luxury dream-home and fits the relaxed tropical resort feel I was going for perfectly. We've had it for just over 2 years and it still looks beautiful.

We've had this TV cabinet for over 3 years and it still looks new. The wood is beautiful, and with soft-close drawers and doors it screams quality. Love, love, love it. I added some baskets for storage and get lots of compliments. It arrived at the door almost fully assembled. We only had to slide the doors in and attach the legs and back.

I picked this stand up today. I've been deliberating what to buy for about 3 weeks now. I wanted something higher than normal stands because I have a 2 year old that can't keep his hands off of my new 55" LED. I also wanted something of high quality that wouldn't break the bank. This stand is everything I was looking for and I'm totally happy with this purchase. This stand comes about 99% assembled. All you need to do is screw on the handles and the 2 cable management pieces on the back. No need to worry about missing any hardware or putting something on backwards! The shelves have plenty of room for components from top to bottom and front to back. Their's also vents on the bottom of each shelf to prevent components overheating. I don't have any large components but it shouldn't have a problem fitting larger receivers. I only have an xbox360, blue ray player and cable box. Cable management... wow...made life much easier. Just wrap the cable around the provided hardware and you don't have to worry about a sloppy mess hanging all over the place. The back panels are nice wood and magnetic also making things easier. Not that cheap flimsy junk that you find on the back of most entertainment stands. Overall I have no complaints about this stand. Looks great, sturdy, roomy, organized, and didn't put a dent in my wallet. I'm also attaching a picture of the setup. I have my 55" LED mounted on a Bell'O mounting system(I added it below to the recommended products for people interested). It's sold by Best Buy and actually made for Bell'O stands but works fine with this stand. I bought it to take weight off the stand preventing any bowing in th middle. Also don't want my 2 year old pulling it over when he gets tall enough to reach!

This cabinet far surpassed our expectations both in workmanship and appearance. It was well worth the purchase price, now we need a larger tv to complete the room!

This was an excellent piece of furniture for the first 5 years of life. Purchased in 2015 but now almost 6 years later it’s starting to warp in the middle. This puts the cabinet doors and drawers askew and makes it difficult to open as they’re rubbing against the wood frame. It still is visually appealing but the warp is becoming more noticeable. I would still recommend this cabinet but just beware that these inexpensive cabinets are not built to last.

Not the same color as the floor model, and we were not told there were any choices in color. Came to us with one magnet damaged in the back but that does not effect performance or appearance. Lots of space! Hardware looks nice. Overall very good purchase!

This is a beautiful cabinet, and well designed to fit my entertainment system needs. There is a problem with it. I have a flatscreen TV and one compact center speaker sitting on this cabinet, and over the past several month the cabinet top has begun to drop in the middle to the point that the doors and drawers are binding. It should not do this from the small amount of weight I have sitting on it. It is beautiful but disappointing.

One of the first things a friend said when first seeing my new TV was, "nice stand" !!! I was worried about finding the perfect TV Stand to match my Crate & Barrel wood furniture and I searched everywhere. This I saw only online, the Palm Desert Store did not have it on display but had some in stock. I did see other Whalen wood stands on display and the finish was exceptional so I took a chance with it. (They later put one out on display) It is BEAUTIFUL and matches my Map Tables from Crate & Barrel almost like they are from the same set. The wood is Beautiful, I have 5 units inside it with room for another, (stacked) the glass doors work for the remotes and the two drawers hold the 3-D Glasses and my 3-D movies. The extra height for my 55 inch Samsung makes looking up to watch TV even better. I highly recommend buying this product. I would ask my niece to pull out her pom poms but that would be pushing it a bit over how much I really like this stand! ha ha

I read reviews on this A/V cabinet and liked that fact that it was constructed of wood, and that it came almost fully assembled. I thought the price was a little steep so I waited several months hoping it would go on sale. Once I saw it in person, though, I really liked the color and how solid it was built, so I decided to buy it. It was also the perfect width and height to accommodate all my home theater components. The magnetic back panels really make it easier to connect the components and to manage all the wiring. I would have given it 5 stars, but I was disappointed with one thing. The only parts that needed assembly were the four handles. However, there were 3 screws missing. I called Best Buy and I was told they don't stock those screws since the A/V cabinet was made by Whalen Furniture, to look for the screws at my local hardware store. I could not find screws with the same thread to fit the handles. Since the screws available don't screw all the way in, I bought shorter screws and made the handle work on the bottom drawer. However, on the top drawer, the outer holes are not lined up with the inner holes, so I was not able to attach the handle. I'm using a string to open the drawer. I'm uploading a photo.

I was looking for the cherry wood look and I also wanted an open area and windows. I wanted the console to be a bit taller than some of the others I had been looking at online. I found exactly what I was looking for in this console. I think it looks better in person than online and I was lucky that I was able to look at it at the store. Very happily, it was mostly assembled. It fits the electronics perfectly and has room for displaying pottery and other items to set-off the piece.

This is a well built console stand with a good practical design. The back of the furniture is especially well done, the cut-outs are solid and very easy to remove and place back in once your connections to the back of your devices is complete. The wire guides are useful as well. The furniture looks good and would go well in a living room type setting where you would want to place your consoles and devices behind doors but still have full remote control functionality for them. I am using it under a wall mount TV so I cannot speak to the unit as a TV stand, but its construction would give me no hesitation about using it as such. The item arrives in one piece which is really nice, putting the finishing touches on it was easy and well explained by the instructions. The only negative I had was that Best Buy delivery does not remove the packaging for you so you are left with a ton of cardboard and styrofoam to clean up. Also, it is not inexpensive, so I really didn't fell like I got a bargain, at the same time nothing about the item feels cheap so overall I would say my money was well spent.

Pros: + Very elegant dark wood + Bought mine for my multiple gaming consoles - plenty of space and storage for remotes/controllers + Very, very sturdy and heavy, so not easily moved or shaken if bumped + The insides of the glass cabinet doors are very well ventilated to prevent overheating of your consoles/tv boxes/receivers + Two things I didn't know till I got it are that it has brackets you can screw onto the back of it to wrap any extra cables around to keep them neat and tidy AND the backing of the stand behind the glass door compartments are removable as they simply magnet onto the back which makes it easy to remove and wire everything Cons - None that I can think of thus far! Only thing I would say is that since it's a darker wood, be careful of scratching it, but it even comes with a scratch concealer pen!

I didn't know it but the stand comes 99% assembled. After unboxing it, all you have to do is attach the drawer and cabinet handles. Super simple. The box is heavy so plan on some help getting it in place. The color was a shade darker than pictured on website but looks great. All of my components fit nicely with lots of ventilation. Wires flow nice through high and low openings in the removable magnetic panels. I really like this stand. It's large. I don't have my TV on it so I can't comment on the sag factor. The only thing I wish it had was a channel between the two cabinets instead of the cleated plastic guide on the back--it works but not as neat as I would like. Overall, highly recommended.

This is a beautiful piece of furniture on its own, but it doesn't stop there. This console handles our 60" LED TV with no trouble. It has plenty of room for our DVR, Blu-Ray player and A/V Receiver, plus our X-Box 360. It has convenient drawers with removable dividers. So that you can store anything from DVDs to remote controls or game controllers. The removable panels on the back make it easy to access your equipment and connections. This is a solid and heavy piece of furniture. We had it delivered and installed and we're glad that we did! It comes almost fully assembled, but I wouldn't want to have to carry it into the house. Great Quality, but you get what you pay for...well worth the price!!

I bought this tv stand because I needed a heavy, sturdy, and taller stand to keep my 18 month old from getting to my tv (and keep the tv from falling on him as well). This has done the job perfectly. We achored the tv to the stand, and then anchored the stand to the wall, so I am not at all worried about the tv falling on him. Its tall enough so that he can't reach my soundbar or the tv. My only gripe about it is that the drawers are not designed at all to stored dvds, so I can't really use them for storing anything other than my remotes (I'm not a gamer, but they could be used for controllers, etc.). The unit came preassembled, which was great, but there are some gaps in the door alignments. Its purely aesthetic, they function just fine.

The console arrived in fantastic condition or so we thought - the 2nd time we opened the glass doors one of the glass doors fell off. The screws were so tiny and the holes were stripped. We notified the company immediately and they said there was nothing they would do about it. Fortunately we were able to get it repaired on our own. We had both doors repaired so that the other door didn't fall off. Whalen is not a good company to purchase from because they will not stand behind their product. This console cost $500 so it wasn't inexpensive.

This Whalen Furniture - High Console TV Stand was something that I wanted to try out with our new LG 65" TV. It came fully assembled in the box. All my husband had to do was put the handles on the doors and drawers. We put the TV onto it and positioned it in place. It did wonders! Watching our old TV I would get headaches because it sat lower and I wear bifocals. With this stand no more headaches as it provides a straight line of sight.
