I was looking for a lock that would work with Apple HomeKit as I have other smart home devices on there. This fit the bill and took less than a hour to install.

This was an excellent lock. It looks great and was incredibly easy to install. Unfortunately the August communication module on mine was defective. I called August and they took me through the steps to troubleshoot it. It was ultimately decided that the unit was defective and they suggested I return it to BestBuy. I ended up buying the black version on Amazon since this one was sold out when I went to return it. The new one works perfectly!

Easy smart lock to install and setup. They only reason I do not give it five stars is because I wish it would have NFC compatibility for the price. It is able to use bluetooth to lock/unlock. It is also compatible with my Alexa and Apple HomeKit.

I previously owned the Yale nest smart lock. But I decided to take the HomeKit route so I sold it and found this one . This one fills all my needs. Being able to command the lock with Siri and also have the option to unlock it via proximity is awesome. Since it comes with August integrated technology it can open up the lock once you get to your house. Or you can just do it manually as well :)

This is a high quality lock system. It’s heavy, and easy to use. It was also easy to install, both through the hardware and software/app. However, it does not work with Amazon Alexa and I do feel it’s a bit overpriced at about $200, and are the reasons for a 4/5 instead of a 5/5.

Was kind of nervous going to a keyless door lock! It's nice that Yale gives you an option to open the door with a 9v battery, if your, in lock batteries die. Easy to install! One thing that you should know! If you have 2 or more of these locks like I do, you cannot use their app to unlock/lock more than one of them. You have to use a second party app like apple home. The second one just will not connect. Contacting their service for help was some what horrid, but got the job done

I have to say installing this was a breaze. A non skilled person can put this in in less than an hour. I found a few videos showing programming it. I haven’t been as successful with the app and programming my phone or Alexa to it or it would be a five star.

I really like this lock. I love not having to have a key and being able to lock with a swipe of my hand on the panel and it locks. The Auto Unlock feature is fantastic. When I get home and walk up to the door it unlocks automatically. It's also nice to have separate codes for people so I know who is unlocking the door. Really happy with the lock, and the August app works great and has some nice features.

If you already have a smart home hub, no need to spend the $250 on the more expensive version. This is a great value for the money. I've owned it for almost 2 years now and I've never had an issue. Easy to set up/install and use. I use this for a condo, so the lock stays indoors. I have no data on outdoor use

Really happy with the product. I cannot speak about the installation because I spent the extra money to have Geek Squad install it for me. I’m just not a woman who knows her way around with a drill. Installation took about 30-45 minutes and then we programmed my phone and the security codes. I love it. One of the beat features is that you can program a code for someone for a specific day and timeframe so that it cannot be used any other time. So if you have your cleaning lady coming or if you are renting like Air Bnb, you can do the same. It’s very cool. I really think they did a great job with this and the technology. I can open it with my phone via the app or with the iPhone Home app. Or you can use a code pre-programmed. Highly recommend. It looks pretty nice as well. I feel safe between my Ring doorbell and my Yale Assure Smart doorlock.

Worked great so far. Easy to pair with HomeKit as well as integrate with Alexa. The auto lock feature is very useful. Only complaint is the door ajar alarm can be flaky at times.

This has turned out to be a great product for our house. It's nice to be able to set individual codes for each person, or to give a code to someone that will expire on a certain day. The batteries die faster than I would like but that's my only issue.

can open and close door by asking siri with phone in my pocket! see if it is open or closed from anywhere.and let someone in. All i could ask for.I am upset that BB had it for sale $50 off just after their 15 day price adjustment period expired. since everybody charges the same price,I would buy where the adjust window is more generous!

This thing is great. Unlocks when I pull up. Locks when I leave. Works better than my husband. Its always there and never disappoints. I can check my lock while I am away and know its secure. Install is a piece of cake and took maybe 5 minutes to configure.

This is an excellent choice for anyone who is looking at a “smart door lock.” It’s easy to use once set up and the app works well. Installation was challenging, mostly because my door is very old (1800s). From the looks of it, more modern doors should be a breeze.

Connected to my Apple TV home hub, I can control it with Siri, like 80% of the time. Sometimes it just doesn't register it and Siri can't find the door. When it works, it's like magic.

This was the best buy I've done in awhile. It was so easy to install and the app is great. It keeps us in the loop constantly with if the batteries are going dead or the lock needs to be updated. I'd highly recommend.

We love this door lock. It's so easy to use and totally eliminates the need to carry a house key. Just punch in your code to unlock the door and hold your hand over the screen to lock it. How easy is that!?! Plus, you can program in multiple codes -- one for each family member.
