Q: QuestionCan You please explain What exactly is a roku? And what does it do? From what I here you can get unlimited access channels
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer (GOOGLE ANSWER) <Roku are a series of online media players manufactured by the American company Roku, Inc. Roku partners provide over-the-top media services in the form of channels> (MY ANSWER) Think of it like an operating system for you tv, Android phones have the <google play store>, iPhones have the <App Store> etc. Roku players have competition, it’s not the only one of its kind. There is also the amazon fire stick, Apple TV and maybe more that I don’t know of. You would buy a Roku stick, player or even the tv then you’d need WiFi connection after this you’d connect the stick or player (assuming you wouldn’t buy the tv) to your tv and instantly have access to over 50,000 apps from movie channels to music, rain tv, radio and much more. You can search for and add free channels to watch shows, movies, listen to music, sports, weather, cooking etc, some of which will be free while others require a subscription or a one time fee purchase. If you don’t have cable or your looking to ditch cable, this is the next best thing.

Q: QuestionCan I have more than one ROKU device on my WiFi network on separate TVs? Would I need two accounts?
Asked by Footsie.
- A:Answer Hi! Yes you have up to 20 Roku devices on the same Roku account. You will need to long into each device for initial setup. Each Roku device may only be linked to one Roku account at a time. When you link multiple Roku devices to a single Roku account, the channels and purchases will be the same on each device. When a channel is added or removed on one device, the channel is automatically added or removed on all devices linked to that account that support the channel.Channels must be activated separately on each Roku device.

Q: QuestionIs the spectrum tv app available?
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer If you have Spectrum as your internet provider, you'll have no problem using Roku. If you have a streaming stick you may have to add the Spectrum channel. No big deal and no extra cost. I have a Roku tv on my Spectrum system.

Q: QuestionIs credit card information "required" to use a Roku stick to stream internet programming which is free? I do not want to enter any credit card information. If credit information is required, it is a purchase killer.
Asked by Papaw.
- A:Answer No credit card information is required but you may have to create an account name with certain channels. I've used the Roku to stream many channels and have not had to give out my credit card info. I will say I am very happy with my Roku purchase. It was easy to set up and the quality of the streaming is excellent on my LG 4K TV. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionDo I pay a separate fee for each channel I use? ex..HBO, Netflix...
Asked by DB.
- A:Answer It depends upon the app. YouTube is still free; However, YouTube TV costs money. Any streaming app that charges a fee without Roku, still charges a fee using Roku. Roku makes it easy to continue watching your favorite channels without a cable tv subscription. For my household, we have many tv’s. We use Roku to reduce the cost of our cable subscription and purchase 1 or 2 apps on a rotating basis. Disney plus for 2-3 months, then switch to HBO for 2-3 months. And so on with other apps. Also, it limits the number of cable lines that need to be added and maintained throughout our home.
