Nothing beats the quality for the Price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been flying drones for professional/fun purposes for years. The Tello is by far my favorite pickup and fly drone. It's super easy to use, stable, responsive and quiet enough it doesn't get on peoples nerves. The phone connection thing is very easy, and if you like it enough grab a Gamesire T1D controller. It makes the responsiveness so reliable that you can do some crazy stuff in the flip/roll mode.

Student Pilot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this drone because it appeared to be a good one to start with, without breaking the bank. I wanted something more than a toy that had a decent camera with the ability for both stills and video. I bought the version with extra batteries and an external charging dock so I could have more flight time - important when you're learning how to fly. So far I've been happy with my purchase. Excuse the picture of my roof, but it's something I couldn't do without this drone.

Good wifi drone
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a wifi drone at this price is great. The three batteries are helpful as single battery only provides 10 minutes of fly time. Video is not ideal although photos are fine. Easy to fly indoors as well. I would buy this product again. Would also like a seperate controller instead of using a smart phone.

Fantastic 1st. Multi-Copter!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I/We fly most of the DJI products and use them for work. While we like our grandson getting involved, this was a perfect gift for not only him but anyone who is looking for a starter type!! I was really impressed flying in our hangar and the quality of pics for 720p! It would be great for anyone having never flown before and very stable. I have many toys drones for our grandson, he took this and flew it without our guidance, first time! He was able to do flips and other features along with taking pics and video. It's the best $99.00 Dollars we ever spent!! Please don't waste your money on anything else, I promise, this is the drone everyone will like!! Absolutely anyone can fly this off an iPhone! Auto take-off and Auto-Landing, so cool!

Great capabilities for low price.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third tello, these little guys are very very easy to fly. I also have a DJI Spark, and a DJI Mavic 2 pro, but the tello is my go-to when I want to fly in a more populated area. It is very unintimidating to others due to its small size and low noise operation. Just have to be careful at night, or in dark areas, as the optical flow system will disengage and the tello will not be able hold its location, and can drift with the wind. I highly recommend this as a first drone. Especially over any other brand low cost drones. You will be very happy with this.

Great for indoor flying
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm 80 years old and my reflexes are getting slower. I can fly the Tello with ease. It's great for indoor flying and a lot of fun outdoors if there is little or no wind. Video is a little jumpy with iPhone. It is much easier to fly with my iPad Air and the video is smooth. I'm also using the Gamesir controller and like that too. Sorry you only use photos. I'm pretty much a video only flier.

Great drone for beginners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the DJI stark but I realized that was to expensive and complicate to be my first drone, after I used for a couples of days I was afraid to crash a$500 drone .. so I took it back . And I got the Tello witch is the small version, I’m so excited.. I’m gonna used for while, then When I’m ready I’ll jump to next level; something bigger... JUST MAKE SURE U GET THE COMBO DEAL (charger hub and extra bater

Q: QuestionDoes the boost combo come with a remote control? And if not, does it work with the apple 5s?
Asked by KRIJER95.
- A:Answer It does not. You have to DL the App. And use the control on your phone. You can buy the control online. Think it’s like $35 give or take.

Q: QuestionWhat is its range and how long will it fly on one charge?
Asked by Bobn.
- A:Answer About 300 feet with no obstructions. It works based on a wifi access point in the drone, and your tablet's/phone's wifi client. 10-13 min, so the trio of batteries in the combo are helpful. We have tried several small drones, and this one by far is the best we have experienced at the low price point.

Q: QuestionWhat is in the Boost Combo pkg? How many props, battery charger?
Asked by MSA.
- A:Answer Comes with one set of extra props, three batteries, and a charger that will hold 3 batteries. (Just a note, the charger will only charge one at a time, not all three at the same time).

Q: QuestionIs it necessary to have an SD card for this? TIA
Asked by sdcard.
- A:Answer No it records to your phones internal storage. The drive emits a WiFi signal that you connect to while flying.

Q: QuestionOur batteries don’t seem to keep a charge once that charging base is unplugged. If i unplug the base once all the batteries have a solid green charge and then try and fly later in the day, all batteries are low/dead. Am I doing something wrong?
Asked by Rachel.
- A:Answer These type self-discharge to prevent leaking and overcharging. Also, low tech batt discharge when they are making contact with metal (charging terminals). Try taking them out after fully charging, they will still discharge but not as quick.

Q: QuestionHi, does this only work while connected to wifi? I would like to purchase this for my teenage son who’s going on a trip out of the country and Won’t have wifi on his cellular phone while at the beach. He would like use it for area views of the ocean.
Asked by MarylinMonroe.
- A:Answer Hi Marylin first make sure that the phone he's going to connect it to can work with the app that needs to be downloaded into inorder to control the drone with the cell using a virtual control which works great on my IPOD 6th GEN which wasn't on the list for compatible cell phones in the IOS & Android list. But after experimenting with the ipod it works great. As far as connecting to wifi, it has a built in ssid ( wifi name of connection) that'll show up in your setting and wifi connection. Then you'll see TELLO to connect to. So at my home it connects me to tello and disconnect from the home wifi. Almost like a bluetooth connection. I've heard if using a regular cell place it in airplane mode and should work. But like always look deeper into this. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionI purchased this for my husband as a gift. It was working great and now it won't fly level. Is there a warranty on this item or can you help him fix it?
Asked by Drone.
- A:Answer I am just another customer, but I have a few tellos. I would check that the propellers are not bent, or the propellers guards are not bent up, making contact with blade. If all that looks fine, use the forked end of the small shiny tool to wedge between the top of the motor, and bottom of prop. They will slide off, and push back on very easily. Just note which ones are CW, and CCW. I have found that I will occasionally pick up a loose piece of long hair, and it will wrap around the motor shaft under the propellers. But with the propellers off, it's easy to slide the tiny "roll" of hair up and off of the shaft. After a few hundred flights, the motors will start to fail causing spins and landings. They are available online fairly cheap, although it is a bit of a project to replace them. I'd recommend watching a couple YouTube videos on the task. Hope I could help a bit, those are the only problems I have ran into with the few I own these past few years.
