good music
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a fan of hers and have been for a long time . This is very good music which i recemmend to sarah fans. I do enjoy listening to the CD and she has one of the best female voices i've ever heard. I could listen to her sing and never get tired of it. she has made better CD's. not her best but very good music all together.

fantastic album !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This album is uplifting. It's apparent that even though she has been through some obstacles (death of her father, divorce, etc) that she continues to see the value in her existence. The lyrics are perfect and Sarah's voice is as soothing and hypnotic as ever.

Another solid CD from McLachlan, but not her best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sarah McLachlan almost singlehandedly convinced me of the power of women songwriters and musicians when I was a young teenager. Her power and emotion oozed off her albums "Solace" and "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy". While that lyrical talent has maintained its level over the years, I feel McLachlan has waned a bit in the emotional department with her last album. "Shine On" continues that disappointing trend. While there's nothing wrong with a more lighthearted approach to music, I guess it's just my own bias in wanting more dread and angst from her since that's what I grew up with. Still, McLachlan's melodies and lyrics are as smooth and refined as ever, and she makes soft pop seem effortless. She continues to impress and inspire me, even if she no longer fully matches my tastes.

Easy listening
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few of Sarah McLaughan's CD. They are easy to listen to and do not contain profanity - something that is not common with many artists and songs today. Sarah's music is relaxing.

A gift for my niece
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Listened to a few tracks before giving this cd to my niece, she likes women singers and lyrics and Sarah's voice sounded good. Saw Sarah in concert in the late 90's and liked her so knew this would be a good gift for her

Once again the smooth sound that we remembered
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sarah again knocks it out of the park both vocally and at the piano. During her vacation, she did not miss a beat!
