Q: With the contactless reader, does the info still show up on the phone or pad wirelessly?
A: Yes, the info still shows up on the phone or pad.
A: We are a big square user, while there are fees they are still cheaper than if I had my bank process my CC transactions so we still come out ahead. Most importantly I don't have to worry about what card it is...the flat fee covers Visa, MC, Discover and XMEX! Well worth it in my humble opinion.
Q: How long is the set up time?! And what are the steps
A: It only takes a few minutes to set up your Contactless and Chip Reader. The steps are below: Go to the Square app and tap the three horizontal lines. Tap Settings > Hardware > Card Readers. Tap Connect a Reader. There will be detailed instructions in-app that you can follow to complete the pairing, but just in case, they’re also listed below: To put the reader into pairing mode, press the reader’s power button for 3-10 seconds until you see 4 orange blinking lights. Immediately release your finger when you see these orange lights. When the reader is connected, it will be listed as Reader Connected in the app and the reader’s lights will turn green for 2 seconds.

Q: Can it be used wireless? Or do you have to use wire to connect reader to iPad.
A: It is Bluetooth if you have the stand or the register it will connect to them
Q: Can the dock for the square work with tablet?
A: Yes you have to have a table I think for it to work. Plugs into connection from mine
A: Yes, it works through Bluetooth connection to mobile device. Easy pairing. Instructions in package and in Register app. Easy for customers to use, only that it is light weight, so someone needs to hold it while putting in chip card. The docking unit is ~$30.
Q: Do I need to purchase the base?
A: Great question. Although the Square Dock is an awesome accessory, is not required to use our Contactless and Chip Card Reader.
