Stunning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As we are now losing our living memory of World War II, Ken Burns masterfully depicts not only the battles in foreign lands, but also those fought at home, bringing equal attention to the struggles of the servicemen and their fearful mothers as to the blossoming of industry and the injustices we wrought on our own society through racial biases and discrimination. Ken Burns tells all these stories through four "war towns" that are symbolic of most any town in the US during the war. It is a must see for any person who wants a better knowledge and understanding of the trials, triumphs, sufferings and sacrifices made during this struggle. This will surely become a staple of American history classes of the future.

Best WWII Documentary I have seen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I say the best because it is so different than any other WWII documentary out there. Ken Burns decided to base his film on real people, who were actually touched by the war, not those who have studied the war. Although I have always had the highest level of respect for those who gave so much for the freedom of those in the Pacific and Europe, this film has raised that level even higher, they are true heroes and Ken Burns has done a wonderful job teaching us that.

Tense
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a must see for all WW2 movie buffs to see. It's amazing what these men had to do to survive battle after battle. The interviews of these men who were there is breath taking. War is truly agony.
