Q: Can you connect this doorbell to a SWANN DVR, instead of this display?
A: Can be connected to a swann DVR, the DVR would connect to the back of the monitor (display), which is the hub of the whole system.
Q: Do you have to pay any fees per month like you do with alarm system
A: No it’s not smart at all Jusrt like the old door camera method
Q: Do your video door bell On your iPhone
A: No, this model is a closed system and cannot be accessed remotely.

Q: What exactly does "Weatherproof when sheltered" mean? Is it weatherproof, or not?
A: its "WEATHER RESISTANT WHEN SHELTERED." that's what the packaging states. also camera should not be exposed to direct sunlight. NO WHERE DOES IT STATE THAT IT IS WATERPROOF. AND THAT INCLUDES SWANN.COM SITE. ALSO THE EXPANDABLE DEVICES DON'T SEEM TO BE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. I'M OK WITH MY PURCHASE.
A: Don't know your old system. The wiring is modular on the Swann video door-phone. so i'm guessing you can't use the old wiring (Swann design on the modular connectors I think, not like telephone modular connectors). the swann system is expandable.
Q: Night vision and waterproof?
A: The doorbell camera uses the light from its built-in infrared LEDs for night vision. the image will appear in black and white on the monitor. (at night) weather resistant when sheltered. ( I take that as should or must have a roof over doorbell/camera area.) also no direct sunlight on camera. Also my answer only applies to doorbell/camera part.
