Tiny, but great for kids
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great, true FRS-band radios with sufficient line-of-sight range for backyards and around the house. They're better than toys, but only slightly. Some things to be aware of: 1. They are tiny. A good size for my pre-schooler but way too small for comfortable adult usage. 2. They will pick up other traffic on the public channels. This can be disconcerting if left on and suddenly at midnight you're hearing them squawk or hear voices coming through when you know the kiddos are fast asleep. Keep that in mind and have fun!

kids' gift
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it as a gift for friends' kids. They like it and it works good within sight distance. Don't think it will work more than 1 mile with just slightly fluctuation on topography.

Great for 5 Year Olds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 5 year old nieces loved these. They work perfectly. Surprisingly, they even enjoyed listening to the NOAA weather channel. The only issue is it is difficult to remove the backing to add the batteries. The instructions were helpful. I got them on sale so that was awesome.

A big 10-4 from the kids
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use, my kids love playing with them. Also comes in handy on convoy road trips. If you've got a lot of structures in the way, the range isn't great.
