Only 4GB of GDDR6 RAM; where's the 8GB expected?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad card, considering that the one I bought tested with only 4 GB of GDDR6 RAM, rather than the Best Buy promoted, and package described 8GB of GDDR6 RAM. Likely because of the less than expected amount of GDDR6 RAM, the Passmark benchmark results were, while good when compared to the RX 480 graphics card it was intended to replace, it was yet a much lower than expected benchmark result than even the average score expected for the card; (a 12,000 benchmark score, rather than the near 15,700 that is the current average.) Seeing a disappointing benchmark score, I decided to use HWInfo 64 to check the new card's hardware information. It was then that I found that the card was using only 4GB of GDDR6 RAM, rather than the 8GB expected. Because the available GDDR6 RAM was half as much as I expected to have with the new card, I returned it for a refund.

Was worth the upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was going for a Rtx 3060 ti But because of availably got a Gigabyte Rx 6600 Xt and I do not regret upgrading to This gpu one bit. I needed a upgrade the Xfx Rx 580 was getting annoying when it comes to games and Vr.

Buy this instead of the 6700xt on bestbuy.com
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes the price sucks but that’s how the market is right now. Those who want a 6700xt, do not buy from Best Buy. The premium price isn’t worth the small gains you’ll get. All in all I’m happy with the 6600 xt’s performance, warzone at 1440p (ryzen 7 5800x) I’m getting over 100 fps on high. My 980 ti struggled to keep 53fps on warzone 1440p. Hope this helps someone!

A decent card
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good card. Runs cool and quiet even when fully loaded, temps around 60 even after I did a slight overclock. Plenty of overclocking headroom compared to other current gen cards. Performance is a bit lackluster, especially considering the price. Just don’t give any hope on ray tracing. Runs perfectly in 1080p, could also handle 2k fine. Gigabyte software control/rgb fusion on this card is quite barebone and feels a bit janky. I used it once and decided to uninstall it and just use the default slow rgb cycle. Luckily Radeon software has built in tuning tools that works perfectly with this card.

Q: QuestionHow big of an improvement will this be for Gaming and VR. I have a Rx 580 and would like to upgrade. (I already ordered this since I couldn't get a 3060 ti) Im just wodering how big of a diffrence wil it be?
Asked by Zulu.
- A:Answer Huge improvement over an rx580. These things are great. They trade blows with an rtx 2070 in terms of performance and use way less power/heat. A 3060 ti is a knotch above but this card will not dissapoint you.

Q: QuestionWhat the difference between this one and the OC Pro 8gb
Asked by YungKat.
- A:Answer Could you be more specific? OC pro? Are you comparing with another RX 6600 XT card, or some other "overclocked" card? (Do be sure to check the actual GDDR6 RAM available, if you install this card. The one I bought only registered 4GB of VRAM when I checked it, (using HWInfo 64), after it benchmarked much lower than expected.)

Q: QuestionIs this at all considered a low profile GPU? And must have PCE4 not PCE3? No separate power cable right? Thanks.
Asked by JVJBassMan.
- A:Answer I'm running it on PCIe3 with no issues so far. The testing a lot of tech Youtube creators did showed minimal performance hit on Gen 3 verse Gen 4. Uses standard 8 pin from your PSU and takes up 2.5 slots.
