Small, compact and easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit came with everything you need. I had a Netgear router which was compatable. Got a little help setting it up from Netgear ( who were really great ) and it's been in for a month with no problems.
I would recommend this to a friend Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good Modem, works perfectly with CenturyLink.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really easy to install: once I connected to my mac, just followed the instructions on the screen and I was done in about 20 minutes. I'm still getting the same speed I'm paying for (60Mbps/5Mbps) but the connection is way more stable than when I was using the Modem/Router provided by CenturyLink, which it used to slow down the internet speed and even sometimes disconnect completely, another plus is that I'm saving money since I don't have to pay for equipment rental ($10/month). My only complaint about this modem (DM200-100NAS) is that it overheat pretty fast causing a connection fail, I solved this issue by placing the modem on a better ventilated location. NOTE: this modem works perfect with VDSL, VDSL2 connections, the box says that it works with ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ but according to my research it doesn't so, I will recommend that before you buy this (specific) modem or any other, call your internet provider to make sure it will work with the type of internet connection you have.

Much faster speeds now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ISPs tend to give customers the least expensive piece of equipment when setting you up. By purchasing this and an Apple Airport Extreme and replacing the ISPs equipment, I now have blazingly fast WiFi speeds and I don't have to pay a monthly rental for the ISPs equipment. Fairly easy to set up and Netgear customer service was great in assisting when needed.

Perfect DSL Modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll start out by saying that this modem is the perfect solution for anyone looking to have their modem and router separate, and have DSL internet service. I recommend keeping them separate anyway, because your wireless router is most likely going to become outdated very fast anyway, and modems usually last much longer. So you'll save money in the long term, and depending on what your solution is for the place that you live in, it could be less upfront as well! I'll start off by saying that this modem is much smaller than I had anticipated! Probably the only negative is that since it is so small and lightweight, the cords that are connected to it push it around somewhat. The only other modem for DSL that I could find was made my Zyxel, and the product information page was very sparse, and did not state clearly which DSL technologies it supported. Plus, Netgear is a US headquartered company and they are experts when it comes to networking. Setup is a literal BREEZE. The only thing to note is that you need to call your internet provider to confirm your PPPoE username and password before setting it up. The rest is automated, and the only other thing to note, is that I have mine set up in bridge mode because I have a separate wireless router hooked up to it. I have the Google OnHub, but I highly recommend going for either the Netgear Orbi, or the Linksys Velop. Both are AMAZING! Buy this modem, and you will be taking full advantage of your internet speeds, and getting the most for your money!

wasn't satisfied
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the only affordable router available in store for those who have to have DSL modems and it was not worth the money for me. I currently have century link because that is what is available in my area. This router was not as strong as the one that I have through century link and when I had to trouble shoot it, I decided that it was worth the $13/month to have them not tell me that they couldn't help me because i should be getting service. returned it within a few days. maybe a more expensive one would have worked better but I wasn't willing to pay $200+ to find one that would.

Does the Job!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a aging Windstream router that was dropping the DSL signal. Just launced the set up wizard and all was well! I am getting excellent download/upload speeds much faster and stable than the windstream modem ever provided. I Now I get the speed I am paying for! I am also using a TP-Link Archer C50 Dual Band AC Router. Nothing fancy, just does what it is supposed to do.

No longer compatible with CenturyLink
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apparently Centurylink has changed their stuff and will no longer support a NetGear modem, you have to buy one of 3 approved ones, so, I have purchased 2 modems in the past 4 months, thinking that the first was bad, only to find it wasn't our end, it was CenturyLink's end. Too late to return, and our only option in our area is CenturyLink as we cannot get cable or HughesNet. And, thus, I cannot recommend this model to a friend who has CenturyLink.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Q: QuestionWill this work with Windstreams bonded dsl service? I'm currently getting 50 Mbps/ 4Mbps on their network using 2 phone lines for the signals. I would like to cut the rental cost and just have a modem, no residential gateway! I already use my own router.
