Get that restaurant style soft, yet crunchy ice nugget at home! Get the “good chewable square ice” in just 10-15 minutes. The Frigidaire nugget ice is smaller than a sugar cube and just as satisfyingly soft.
Q: How much water does the resevoir hold?
A: The water reservoir holds approx 1 US Gallon (3.8l)
A: This model icemaker does not recirculate the water from melting ice. It is necessary to drain the accumulated water via the drainage hoses on the rear of the icemaker.
Q: Does this ice maker keep the ice frozen?
A: Yes. I mainly use mine on the weekends and when I turn it on Friday after work I have ice until I empty it Sunday night.

Q: Why is mine all of a sudden making crushed ice and not nuggets?
A: I'm not sure.... Do you have apprx 6" on each side and the back for proper ventilation? If not, this could cause a difference. That's all I've got.
A: This unit does not contain BPA.
Q: Why does the ice start to melt before it drops?
A: The unit extrudes a ribbon of ice which is subsequently cut into nuggets by a rotating cutter mechanism. At that point the ice nuggets start to slide down the chute into the ice storage area using gravity. If the ambient temperature is warm, the ice may melt slightly as it moves down the chute into the ice storage area.
