- Answer Yes, five junior-sized cartridges. I ordered five E-Z Ink XXL 280/281 cartridges (extra large capacity), because the ones included won’t last long. The ones I ordered are very highly rated and less than half the cost of OEM Canon cartridges, but don’t order super cheap refills, or you may end up messing up the printer.

QuestionWhat is the difference between the Pixma TR8620 and TR8620a?

- Answer USA Canon sales rep told me that the 8620a came out 2 months ago and has different chips in them than before. This is in response to the chip shortage.they had to do this in order to be able to provide printers during the chip shortage. Also ha clearer AirPrint capabilities.

- Answer Very small and the printer is very touchy. Have to have the front open and the receiving tray all the way out or it won't print. Prints good, but a hassle to use

- Answer Yes! That was my biggest concern too! I had never had a problem with ordering my printers before- it seemed like a given that this feature would be available on all printers. I went through 2 tries before finding this one, that not only enlarges and reduces print size, but is a great printer.

QuestionWill this printer work if color cartridges are low and new black cartridge is replaced? I don’t use color print very often so don’t want to have to replace all cartridges if only black needs replacing.

- Answer You can replace only the cartridge that is out and it should work as long as the others still have adequate ink. However I have this printer and it gives me a false "out of ink" message even after replacing with new full cartridge. So Beware.

- Answer The built-in flatbed scanner can be used to scan as well as make color and black & white copies. Using the automatic document feed, multiple pages of double sided documents can be scanned or copied.

- Answer Yes, you can connect it with a special USB cable that is not supplied. I connected through WiFi only with MacBook Pro, iPad, and iPhone very easily.

- Answer Yes. The bottom tray holds letter size paper and there is a tray in the back that is designed to hold photo paper. We currently have 4"x6" photo paper in that tray. The photo print quality is excellent, especially considering this is an All-In-One.
