A:Answer Yes. I don't have this particular unit for that function, but I do have my modem and router "backed-up" by a UPS. It should be able to keep your router up for at least 45 minutes. Of course, the more load you add on, the shorter the time it can keep "things" powered up. I purchased my unit to backup my entertainment system (network hub, satellite unit, LED TV and surround sound receiver). It will keep all that going for about 25 minutes. I prefer (if space is available) a UPS over a surge protector in that a UPS works as a surge protector, and also will keep your electronics running (for a "given" amount of time) when the power is out.
