A:AnswerWell, they say they can but my experience was they can't or won't unless you bring in all the CD's for the software applications. Then take 4 days to inform you otherwise.
A:AnswerDidn't work for me when my old ipad completely froze up and the Geek Squad couldn't resuscitate. Had to buy a new one, no credit for the old one.
A:AnswerYes. To open your documents, make sure you have compatible Office software on the Windows system. The transfer will not convert files; it will only transfer them from one device to another.
A:AnswerI had to leave my desktop for a week because Best Buy was busy. Defiantly worth the time. My hard drive crashed and they were able to save and transfer all of my files. Cost was $100.
A:AnswerYes, that's exactly what I did. I had an old toshiba laptop and they transferred all of my data to this external drive. I can now access it all using my Macbook Pro.
A:AnswerOnly by phone, apparently, the Squad has a higher level of technicians, if needed, the Squad will take over the computer in a session and, possibly, this seems to be the best way to address your computer problem, regards
A:AnswerThey expressed to me their security measures on all files. I felt safe using their services. Some of my documents were highly sensitive as well.
A:Answerunless you need everything with you at all times, a 13 inch laptop should work. if you need more space, go for a 1tb hard drive; if not, go for a solid state drive. the ssd will be faster than the hdd, but you will have more space for less money with the hdd. if youre planning on traveling, i would choose the ssd over the hdd. you can always back up to a cloud or external storage device, both of which are pretty economical options. as for the use, if its in home, you should be good with an i3 intel or an a8 amd processor and about 6gb of ram. you can go higher than that, but those would be good minimal recommendations.
the products i added are probably slightly more than what you would need, but if you are planning to keep it for a long time or at least want something that will give you power and the flexibility to change your type of work, those or similar products would be ideal.
A:Answeryes. this is entirely possible. if its a brand new computer, you could actually clone the drive so you have an exact replica of your old computer on the new one.
