Q: QuestionWhy does it say it is freestanding when all the pictures show it as a slide-in and the manual/specs on the manufacturer's website say it is a slide-in? The manufacturer answered a previous question and said it was freestanding, but it is still not clear.

• A:Answer Not sure what you mean by slide-in. Nevertheless, it is absolutely free-standing - it needs no support from anything other than the floor. Be aware that the sides are not stainless steel but black powder-coated steel. Some folks call it slide-in because you can literally just slide it across the floor into its place. Also, it comes with a anti-tip bracket that can be installed on the floor or the wall behind.

• A:Answer It does have a cooling fan which is actually incredibly quiet. However we would recommend that you get a vent above it, which does tend to be a little loud, to exhaust your cooking fumes. This is a terrific unit and after months of use we have had no problems.
