A:AnswerHi Delarose- PerfecTemp™washer water temperature management systems monitors and regulates cold, warm and hot water wash temperatures. "Tap Cold" is the temperature of water from the cold water supply. "Cold" is a mix of hot and cold water. "Cold" target temperature is 62F (Temperature variation approximately +/- 4.5 degrees). The effectiveness of detergent is diminished in extremely low water temperatures (below 60 degrees F, 15.6 degrees C). Therefore, during winter months, if the "Tap Cold" water inlet temperature is less than 60 degrees F, then a "Cold" or "Cool" (70F) wash setting should be selected. Thanks for choosing GE! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerThere will be the hot and cold shutoff valves under the sink that are separate that go to faucet. Depending what size those lines are you could 'T'' off those and use longer 'braided water hoses' to get to each corresponding connection on washer.
A:AnswerI think it is. I clean for a living and two clients had people out for it and they said it's normal. They do clean way better then a front loader
A:AnswerHi Anna- Thanks for choosing GE! We are sorry to hear this, as it is not something we would expect to occur. Surface rust on the sidewalls of stainless steel baskets may be caused by particulates in the water. This type of surface rust can be cleaned off and in some cases prevented by following the cleaning instructions below: 1.Spray the basket with Windex. (Slight alkaline solution). 2.Clean the basket with Magic Eraser to remove all brown particulates. Magic eraser will not scratch the basket. 3.Wipe off the Windex. 4.Spray the basket with an oxalic acid based cleaner. (Bar Keepers Friend, available in most stores). 5.Wipe basket thoroughly. Wiping water spots off after each cycle with a wet cloth once the cleaning process above has been completed, can help with prevention. If surface rust is heavy, a filtration system may be needed to eliminate particulates in the water. If you need further assistance, a qualified service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. A:AnswerYes. I have only been in my basement twice when this happened. Both times I went over to machine and opened lid to check. Everything was evenly distributed. This machine makes many different noises than my last washer, but I love pretty much everything about it!
A:AnswerHi funmamaw- The washer will automatically drain any time the lid is left open for more than 15 minutes and water is present. Also, if the washer is running, press Start/Pause to pause the washer to balance the load or to add additional items. If you press and hold Start/Pause for 3 seconds the wash cycle will be cancelled. For reference, see pages 5, 8, and 15. Load dry items loosely in the washer basket. For best results, load items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, filling in towards the center on larger loads. We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi Lita- Thanks for choosing GE® Model GTW460ASJWW! The washer has a Drain & Spin cycle (not Rinse & Spin). A Rinse Only cycle can be accomplished by selecting the Deep Rinse and/or 2nd Rinse option in conjunction with the Drain & Spin cycle and it will perform a Rinse & Spin. We hope this is helpful.
