QuestionI have purchased the Opal 2.o and its love it. I wanted to know if it's normal for the machine to have a light water stream once in a while in the ice tray? Even if it has ice, it will stream some water from the top of the machine to the ice tray?

- Answer If the machine has been off for a while it will run a flush through the lines for about 5 minutes before making ice again.

QuestionWe have the older model and have about worn the poor thing out. Can this new model be hooked up to the water line for auto refill?

- Answer I wore my original out too, I like the upgrades on this new model! The side tank is the best you have. I do not see a way to hookup to a pressurized water source.

QuestionIce Bin Missing. It's not. Constantly get this message and of course ice making stops. If I stand alongside and manually (and firmly) press the bin in, it works. I assumed a bad bin and bought a new one. Same result. I clean as per GE specs.

QuestionWe have had our GE Opal 2.0 ice maker for almost 3 months and clean it once a week per manual. All the sudden the add water indicator comes on even when the reservoir and side tank is full. What could be causing this to happen?

- Answer 1. You might have air in the tube leading from reservoir. 2. Tube might have build-up that doesn't allow flow.

- Answer Is the pump not working at all or is it just from time to time. I have noticed with my Opal 2.0 that occasionally right after I fill the side tank it will say “add water”. I found that by lifting the tank and pushing in the stopper, it will start making ice again, once I put the tank back in place. Almost like it becomes vapor locked. Hope this helps.

QuestionMy WiFi on the Opal 2.0 front face appears to have quit working. The HQApp says to hold power button down for several seconds until the WiFi shows and blinks looking for a connection. The WiFi will not come on the OPAL 2.0 but was working previously.

- Answer Make sure you're holding the power AND light button for 3 seconds to initiate the WiFi connection process (not just the power button).

QuestionMy side take is leaking water like running all over the cabinet. The side take is filled up and the inside is filled up to the line I just got done cleaning it out it back together and now it’s running water all over the cabinet it’s on ice mode

- Answer If its leaking on the bottom where the hose is attached to the reserve. It may not be a complete seal. Try to wrap electrical tape about 10 times for a tight fit.
