- Answer If your printer supports the 920 and the 920xl ink cartridges, you can use the together. For example, you could use a 920 tricolor and a 920xl black at the same time without any problems.

- Answer All HP printers that use the HP 920 series ink cartridges require all of the ink cartridges to be installed and functioning in order to print. However, the printer software installed on the PC has an option for only printing with the black ink cartridge.

- Answer the print head went bad it is cheaper just to replace the printer be careful not to fall into the "replace" the ink cartridge at $50 a pop a new printer would be more cost-effective.

- Answer It wont work Because hp printers suck. I trashed mine and bought an Epson that I really like and the ink is less expensive.

QuestionWhy won't 920XL HP black cartridge work in my 6500A plus printer ??Bought cartridge at Best Buy last Feb. It has never worked...tossed out bill and box and kept trying...to no avail. Best Buy said they have no answers and to deal with HP. Another store checked ink level in cartridge and said it's almost full! What do I do now? Paid over $50. Look forward to hearing from you. Other three colours work well.
