Q: QuestionWhat cables do I need to purchase? I am connecting my laptop to two monitors. Sorry if this is a silly question. I just got sent to work from home and I need to get set up. I need more than one screen so I am trying to figure this out. Thank you!

Q: QuestionI want to use this to power supply my laptop thru this device and its USBC port. The laptop power supply is 65W. Will this support 65W power output? What sized (output power) wall charger will I need to power this device?

• A:Answer The USB-C power-in port on the JCD381 will only support up to 60W. However, depending on the Make and Model of the computer, the USB-C port on the computer must support "Power Delivery" for pass-through charge. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device.

• A:Answer Hello Mayreeh, The j5create - USB Type-C Mini Docking Station (JCD381) is, unfortunately, not compatible with Chromebook computers. The JCD381 USB-C Mini Docking Station requires for drivers to be installed onto a computer, prior to being able to use the adapter. At this time, j5create USB display adapters are only supported on Windows and macOS operating systems -- Windows 7 - 10 and MacOS 10.8 - 10.15. Although, we do have Plug-and-Play adapters, adapters which do not require drivers to be installed onto the computer, which may better meet your needs and may be compatible with your Chromebook laptop. If your computer has a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, I recommend that you consider the USB Type-C Multi Adapter (JCD383).

Q: QuestionI have a VGA to HDMI adapter to send image to TV but I’m not getting anything if I get this and use the USB port on my computer then use HDMI port to tv should it work rather than using the old VGA cable

Q: QuestionThe unit didn't come with a power adapter. Shouldn't it or do I have to purchase this separately?

• A:Answer This device does not come with a power adapter as it only provides downstream charging to your computer. You can use your computer's charger and plug it into the power in port of this device. However your computer has to have either a Thunderbolt 3 port, or Power Delivery over USB Type-C in order to properly charge your computer.

Q: QuestionASUS ROG G513QE-ES76 compatible. Mini Dock JCD381- Works w/work Laptop. Mouse and keyboard work with the dock plugged into the ROG. But the video output isn't working. ASUS shows 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support DisplayPort™ but video won't pass through.

Q: QuestionIs this backwards compatible to work 2 1080p HDMI monitors? I see that one port is HDMI 1080p and one is HDMI 4k. Is the HDMI 4k port backwards compatible to HDMI 1080p?
