- Answer No. Nearly all of the current and future crop of notebook have their memory soldered in and cannot be expanded. Get an 8Gig configuration and RUN from the 4G !

Questionwhy no keyboard layout pic?!?why are there no pictures of the keyboard keys? some keyboard layouts are deal breakers for me. and no pic of which keyboard arrangement this has is a deal breaker for me. :( I want to know whether the Control key is in the bottom left or a Function key. and how Insert, Home, Page Up, Page Down, End, and Delete keys are arranged. Whether it has a full or partial numpad or combined matters too.

- Answer Press and hold the orange 'Fn' button, and then tap the space bar. The space bar has a symbol of a light on it that's also orange. :)

QuestionDoes this unit have a fan? Is it noisy, this configuration is using intel i5, so I am assuming it now use a fan?

- Answer It doesn't have a visible fan and there is absolutely no noise from the laptop. There may be something smaller inside for minor airflow. The bottom gets warm but not hot and I've had zero overheating issues with heavy usage.

QuestionMy store doesn't have this configuration with the Core M5, so I'm looking at the model with the Core i5. What are the differences in the M and the i5? I used to keep up with this stuff but I took a Mac break. Thanks.

- Answer The "M" series of processors from Intel are mobile device processors. They are meant to extend battery life. They do this by lowering the clock speed of the processor at idle to conserve power. The "I" series processors from Intel are traditional processors. They tend to have shorter battery life but higher clock speeds when the processors are at idle. If you need 6 to 10 hours of battery life (depending on the work you are doing with your computer), core m processors are for you. If you need maximum performance/power and battery life is less important, core I processors are for you.

QuestionNo dedicated charge port? You must use 1 of the 3 USB ports to charge it? No Labor warranty? You can't remove/replace the battery? - Answer Yes, it has bluetooth. I recommend going to the Lenovo site and reading the specifications there. I've noticed that the specs on the Best Buy site are not always exhaustive.

Questionspeed of ethernet port?Why don't stores give use how fast the Ethernet port is in the specs? Here in Kansas City, we can get Gigabit speed internet, and even in a few other cities too. What speeds does the ethernet port support?

- Answer If you're asking if the yoga 700 has an ethernet port, it does not have ethernet ports. For this, I have purchased a USB-ethernet adapter that has worked very well for me. Having an ethernet port would not have allowed the laptop to be as slim as it is. in regards to speeds, most USB to ethernet adapters are Gigabit thereby supporting gigabit speeds. If this doesn't answer your question please let me know.

- Answer The 8GB Memory is the amount of RAM in the computer. The 256GB Solid State Drive is the actual hard drive, or storage space for the operating system, files, photos and whatever else you put on it. The Solid State is better than a regular hard drive because there are no moving parts and the computer will run much faster. Hope that helps.

- Answer I think this would be an IDEAL laptop for a student. 14" is a little less portable than a 13.3", but the value for the money is GREAT. Look for an open box one for better deal.

- Answer Unfortunately, for most of us the display driver that comes with this laptop is BUGGY. I was unable to correct it myself through Windows update nor could I correct it by downloading the driver from Intel. I did an online tech support chat with a Lenovo representative, and the rep remotely upgraded the video driver. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

- Answer The display driver on man units if faulty -- as was mine. I was unable to update the driver myself and I fairly tech proficient. I did a remote chat tech support session with a Lenovo rep and the Lenovo rep successfully updated my video driver. I also had the "phantom screen touch" problem and I was able to correct that one myself by updating one of the BIOS. The answer was in the Lenovo forums. This is a NICE computer so long as one can work their way through the video driver problem and phantom touch problem. Especially if one can get an open box deal from Best Buy which I did. I imagine it was open box because of the display driver and phantom touch problem.

- Answer This system only comes with a 256 SSD internal drive, but you can add more SSD memory by using the SD card slot. You can add an addition 512GB of storage by using an SD card.

- Answer Do an internet search on Yoga 700 Phantom touches and you find an answer in the Lenovo forums. This is a problem with the LG DISPLAY and there is an easy fix you can download. I had this problem and fixed it myself!
