A:Answer I don't think anyone will be able to answer this question definitively with a yes or no. There are too many variables involved like what floor are you on? How far away are you from the first floor modem? Is there anywhere that you could plug in this extender ideally half-way between your apartment and the first floor modem? etc.
All I can say is that if you are getting some internet signal in your apartment now, you can try purchasing and setting up the range extender in your apartment and see if you get better service connecting to the extender instead of the main WiFi. If it doesn't work well, Best Buy usually has a good return policy such that you can return the extender (in good condition) and get a full refund. However, bear in mind that I am not affiliated with the store and this is just my opinion - you should check on the return policy yourself.
