• A:Answer I have (2) extenders hooked up in my house and receive a strong signal throughout the house and work shop which is about 40 feet away. After installing the extender, make sure you reassign your network connection to your computer and devices. The network name should have an extension(s) of "Ext"

• A:Answer I use power line adapters all over the house, much more reliable than WiFi. I have no lag, pixelation or buffering while streaming to an AppleTV, Dish receiver, and two FireTVs. I doubt you will have issues. Important: do not plug them into a power strip with noise filtering or surge suppression, or to a UPS. These devices will filter your ethernet traffic. That said, buy the extended warranty, they are susceptible to power surges and will burn out.

Q: QuestionI've plugged this into My EERO system, I can find a WIFI signal in my remote building. My phone read the WIFI signal but it will not accept a password to join. Confused about which password it requires?

• A:Answer There shouldn't be a password because this network extender is not wireless, and there's no way to set-up a password on this system. This is designed to be connected directly from your modem or router with an ethernet cable to the plug-in device on one end, and then from the other plug-in with an ethernet cable to a computer. This network extender uses the electrical wiring in your walls to transmit the signal, and I don't think it is designed to work with a mobile phone.

• A:Answer No, I had hoped it handled POE but it doesn't. The service representative on the floor misunderstood my question and assured me that it provided POE. What it does it provide ethernet over power which is completely different.

• A:Answer These devices simply connect to each other through the electrical lines in order to create a new connection on the network. It doesn't matter what you plug in to them as long as they are working the connection is bridged. Just make sure for ip cameras you get the one that operates at 1 gig. It could make a difference. I have used these for bridging the gap between access points and computers back to a network. Ip cameras would be no different.

• A:Answer Probably not, the directions indicate it wants direct wall outlet access for best results. That was the one negative i was able to find on this as it otherwise works great.

Q: QuestionHave had the Powerline 1200 for a month now. Does this device increase the data usage? I ask this because our provider says we're near the data limit for May, about 1000Gb's. Before using the device, our data usage was under 300Gb's. Any answers please.

• A:Answer I have the Netgear Powerline 1000, I assume that it is similar to your 1200. I have not reached any limit yet that I know of, Nor has anyone notified me of such. I do know that my provider is AT&T nd I am supposed to have 100 gb. Sometimes I was operating only at 30 gb. Not Gooood. your provider might be the same spy company as mine? one called AT&T? I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS DEVICE. I hope you will be too.

• A:Answer I think you meant ROUTER (roader)? Yes, it should work fine. It only takes the signal that's already there and carries it farther. Think of as an invisible ethernet cable. The cable doesn't have to be the same brand as the router, it just sends the signal.
