- Answer You can buy the subscription for 1 year. After the subscription ends, you keep the software & data (since both are on your local PC). You won't get product updates nor will you have the ability to automatically download your bank transactions via internet. But you can still enter them manually. I'm using Quicken 2010, which worked just fine till I upgraded my operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 10. So, I will buy a one year subscription to Quicken 2019 & hopefully that will last me at least 10 years. They call it a subscription but after it runs out, just continue using. Easy.

QuestionIs this version (model QUI940800F071) easy to install to extend an existing subscription? This version does not state "new subscribers only" like Model QUI940800F094 does. Thank you for your reply.

QuestionI just bought Quicken 2021. Since the new Quicken is subscription-based, should I wait to start my 2021 subscription until the old one expires? Does it tack on extra time to renew it early?

- Answer It adds the year to your account. You can’t add on per thier policies however until 6 months have been used. Meaning if it’s due to expire just add unlike virus software it won’t replace but add. However you can’t buy 2 of the packages and get 2 years the same day., you can redeem the first but must wait the 6 months to redeem the second (in case you picked up them on sale)

- Answer Yes it can, you can access the web interface via a browser on a Chromebook. However you do need to start off by installing @Quicken on a PC or Mac. #QuickenElite

- Answer Quite a few years ago, I did transfer from MS Money. It seems like I had some difficulties when I transferred, as far as some transactions duplicated. It took me a bit to clean it up, but it was doable and once I got it done, everything has been fine since. I did like MS Money but with Quicken, I love downloading transactions from my bank. Good luck.

- Answer You will need to download Quicken 2013 and use it to open and convert your Quicken 2004 - 2009 file. Do not install your new version until you complete these steps: Step 1: Back up and install Quicken 2013, Back up your data file in Quicken. Close Quicken. Download Quicken 2013 for Windows. Please note that although the Quicken 2013 provided here is Deluxe, it can also convert files from higher versions of Quicken. Select Save File, then browse to your desktop and save it there. From your desktop, double-click the newly-downloaded file QW2013DLX.exe. Follow the on-screen instructions to install and convert your existing data file. Step 2: Install the current version of Quicken, Back up your data file in Quicken 2013. Close Quicken. Install your current version of Quicken for Windows.

- Answer You can even merge older files, I went from 2007 to 2020! You may need to convert your files multiple times depending on how old the program you are using is. If you run into trouble Quicken is great at helping, they helped me via chat and had my files converted in a half hr!

- Answer #Quickenelite Yes you do bank reconciliations using your bank statements, monthly budgers, and amortizations. Each time you record an amortized loan payment in your Quicken register, Quicken updates the payment schedule to show your new balance. You can view the payment schedule to see how much of your payment goes to interest and how much goes to the principal.

- Answer There really is no longer a Quicken year anymore. Quicken updates continuously and there is a yearly subscription fee. There is a downloadable version, but this is for new subscribers only. If you are just looking at extending your subscription, buy the disk and plug in the new license number or just pay more and order from Quicken directly if you don't want the hassle.

- Answer Yes, however you can not assign it a password. If you do Quicken will require you purchase another subscription.
