A:AnswerSure you can BUT you will need a power inverter. The transmitter and receiver both need to be connected to 110 AC voltage. This setup is meant for home use. Why would you have to cut into your vehicles harness? Go to your local stereo shop and buy the harness that fits your car, they are cheap. If you have an aftermarket stereo then it should have RCA outputs so you can run them to your amp or amps. No need to tap into your vehicles harness.
A:Answerwas it a rocketfish device? i was worried about that with my amp. but no problems have been detected. I have hooked it up to a pioneer , a relic tecnique from the 70's and now irs on my integra and its has been pretty flawless and the sound is very clean and crisp. no humming of other issues. although I did finally have to hook it up to the amplifier for the power source, as their isn't an external power switch for the sending unit.
hope this helps
A:Answeruse the supplied wire to hook up the sending unit to your subwoofer out jack. then use second wire to hook up subwoofer to he reciever unit, plug them all in and enjoy@!
A:AnswerIf he is still getting sound from his subwoofer, it has not disconnected. If he is not getting sound from his subwoofer, it has disconnected. If it is truly disconnecting, he may need to re-examine the way he is hooked up. He should not use a Y-connector if his subwoofer does not have an LFE input. Only use right or left input; using both makes the subwoofer see 2 inputs and sum them (double them). This in turn will make you set the level at the receiver low enough that the transmitter will intermittently loose it. Also, the level setting at the subwoofer should be set at the mid-level at the start of the set-up. Setting it at max could also cause the LFE output at the receiver to be set too low.
A:AnswerI forgot to add you will need a Y connector to complete the connection. Best Buy sells them and if you explain your situation a geek should fix you up with what you will need. Two female in and one male out should do the trick.
A:AnswerThe wireless kit uses the LFE input ( also called Co-ax, Digital Co-ax, Sub-woofer cable input, Raw input, etc.) but its basically a RCA cable (Red-White) combined into a high quality audio cable specifically for sub-woofers. Look on the back of your sub-woofer, it typically will have a (1) a standard power cable input, plug that into the wall (2) four pairs or more, wire terminals (red - black for positive and negative) these are just so you can wire your speakers to the sub-woofer and than to the receiver (don't use them) (3) a RCA, red and white input (first option to plug the sub-woofer into your receiver (4) A LFE input (best option) to plug into your receiver.
Only use either the RCA pair or the LFE input to connect the sub-woofer to the receiver (in the case of this kit use the LFE input to plug the sub-woofer into the box and the other box into your receiver) LFE is best because it doesn't use any filters built into your sub-woofer and instead uses the ones in your receiver which are much better.
A:AnswerYes, it will work. The wireless signal in this case is between the transmitter and the other end that gets attached to your sub. Your receiver/amp does not need wifi capability.
A:AnswerTry stereo inputs on transmitter, worked for me... If receiver has sub out just use splitter to utilize both left & right. Connected back to single input & popping came back very quickly !!
A:AnswerNot at all. I have 5 Sonos speakers and the Connect. I also operate two Airplay speakers and the two Samsung WAM Shape Wireless speakers and there is no cross over or interference.
A:AnswerThis wireless adapter system has no way of knowing what type of Sub/Receiver you are using, it should not matter what combo you have in your setup. If you have successfully tried your transmitter and receiver one this receiver and a known working sub, then the problem is not with the adapters. Have you confirmed that the sub works properly when hard wired to the receiver? My initial reaction is that the sub might be bad, or the wires were not setup properly when you first tried it out. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerIt is not crossed over but features a mono output on the sub end so you maybe have to use a splitter to get mono-stereo. I had to use a crossover for my sub.
