- Answer Yes, run one cycle empty so the dryer can "burn" off and out gases from the materials, as these may get into the first load of clothes.

While this model isn't Energy Star certified under the new guidelines, it does feature the energy saving Sensor Dry technology so it detects moisture and adjusts the drying time as needed. QuestionThis dryer was installed today. It seemed to be working when it was installed. However, I just tried to do my first load and now it won't spin. The cooling light and end light are on while the heat light is flashing. What can I do to make this work?

- Answer Those lights are supposed to stay on. The blinking light is what indicates what cycle the dryer is in. The drying, cooling and end lights all stay on during the cycle, but the current status light will blink. The manual has it wrong. I already verified with samsung that that is normal operation. They said the manual is outdated.

- Answer The machine is rounded on all edges, best I could get was: height 44", width 26.5", depth 28.5" This may help ... My machine vents out the back and measures a total of 35" out from the wall. I allowed 27.5" from the side wall. Height at the front is 39" and the back is 44".

- Answer The dryer uses 220 for the heater element and 110 volt for motor and timer and temperature control. 220 volt power cords are not universal due to the different configurations of the receptacle and amperage.

- Answer Not to worry Samsung friend, this is normal! The lights you are seeing lit up on the control panel are indicator lights to let you know that the dryer is currently in normal drying mode. If the dryer detects a problem with any of the internal components, it will display a two or three digit error code where the time is normally displayed. QuestionI purchased this electric dryer in Dec. 2017 and now it will not heat up at all! We’ve cleaned all the lint traps, vacuumed the dryer vent outside and still no heat.
