A:AnswerI am also having this issue....this may sound stupid but can I just cut off the rubber flap or is that a critical piece to keeping the noise level down?
A:AnswerCondensation drying does not utilize a heating element at the bottom of a dishwasher. Instead, it involves a number of dishwashing elements that result in an energy efficient, high-quality drying process:
The final rinse uses water that has been heated to a very high temperature.
This makes the dishware very hot when the rinse cycle ends.
The stainless steel tub of the dishwasher cools faster than the dishware because stainless steel typically cools faster than dishware materials (such as glass and porcelain).
Moist air is released from the hot dishware when this moist air comes into contact with the cooler stainless steel tub and turns into water droplets (condensation). These water droplets trickle down to the bottom of the dishwasher and are drained in the next wash.
Dishware and cups become dry during this condensation process. Plastics tend to have more difficulty drying because plastic does not heat up to a high temperature during the final rinse like glass/porcelain does.
This specific model now has Auto Release
The door opens automatically to release steam and let air in. When the door opens, the fan is activated generating an air curtain to protect the countertop.
Test results show big improvement in drying (best in class!) Up to 35% improvement in drying and will dry plastics!
A:AnswerIt's the screen in the bottom of the dishwasher. You have to remove 10-12 phillips head screws to get it out and clean it. Worst filter design I've ever seen on a dishwasher!
A:AnswerThanks for asking, Donald. This is a Water Supply Error code. Check out this link (https://bit.ly/2QfQPds) for more details about this error code. ^Jecca
A:AnswerI don't have an issue with build up, but the dishwasher doesn't work well for me at all. Almost every finished load has a dirty dish in it that I have to re-wash. It's so frustrating. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher. Buy a Bosch (another example where you get what you pay for). I didn't want to spend the extra money on the Bosch but now regret it.
A:AnswerI'd say it's a 2 or 3. Not silent, but I have an open concept kitchen/living room area and we watch tv while it's running and I never really notice it. Would buy again in a heartbeat
A:AnswerWhat color is this aluminum strip? If you are referring to the shiny silver aluminum tape - it is meant to attach to the bottom of your counter top to aid in keeping the hot moist air (which escapes during the last 5 minutes of a wash program) from saturating your counter top material. This is mentioned in the Installation Manual.
A:AnswerHi Matt, you can disable the AutoRelease feature. Press the Delay Start button to enable or disable AutoRelease™ Dry. “A0” disables AutoRelease™ Dry. “A1” activates AutoRelease™ Dry. ^Rosi
A:AnswerIt's matte stainless steel. It is more smudge proof then polished stainless steel, but would still show some smudges, especially if you have greasy fingers.
A:Answerhi Jrzsailor95, in the installation guide http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201610/20161012093539005/DD81-02034A_01.pdf on page 20, there is installation information on how to connect the wiring. ^Rosi
A:AnswerThe cut out height means the part of the dishwasher that fits under the counter.....which is smaller than the outside. where the door is. That way the door panel will hide the area where the dishwasher touches under the counter.
A:AnswerThe control panel is a piece of junk. Be thankful that you just bought it and can return the dishwasher, unlike me who had it fail after one year and out of warranty.
A:AnswerGet a different machine. There is no cal rod in the bottom area. It only "drys" by having the water real hot and then popping open at the end to vent the vapor. It is NOT totally dry in there.
It is not a problem for us as we use it every other day.
