Let me start by saying I purchased the 65” 900F. I had been wanting/saving spare cash for several years to one day buy a Really nice 4K TV for my Mancave and my wife be okay with me not spending from our usual funds. I say that only to say I’ve been watching them closely as 4K has grown. I even waited an extra month to get the 900F over the 900E, just to have the new tech inside. Yes the A8F and the 900F are basically the same TV. One is darker (OLED) and one is brighter (900F). One has down firing speakers while one has Acoustic Surface. Amount of inputs and all that, same. I see the A8F as a dedicated movie room with no windows and the 900F as a multi room functional TV. I have my 900F in my basement as the Media hub of the house. I use it for high speed gaming, movies, and tv shows and it all looks Amazing on it. I’ve been told gaming on an OLED can be iffy. If you go OLED you run the risk of burn effect on your screen if you leave it paused for to long. Knowing all the research I did between brands and features I knew LED was for me. A huge plus for me was Price. I used extra money I would have spent on an OLED to get a bigger LED. My opinion use the money you’d spend on a smaller A8F to get a bigger 900F. Hope this helped
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I compared the 2 side by side and could not justify the extra dollar price. I purchased the 900F and I'm very happy with it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the 900f we were going to get the top of the line sony but after comparing specs we got the 900f glad we did we got one great tv and saved some money the sony rep told us if you don't do alot of gaming you will never notice the differance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So I just purchased the x900f tv. It's beautiful. It has one issue for me, the reflection is like looking into a mirror. I've had to cover my lamp because it's so obviously there. Any light will show. I dont like that I have to make sure the room is dark at night to watch without reflections. I am thinking of returning for a Samsung but I would be paying a lot more money for a more matte finish. One other issue is hulu does not support android tv. I cannot create a profile. No live tv or premium tv. And I am trying to cut the cord.A real bummer. Wish I had known. I do love the google assist. Oh what to do....
