- Answer It should. It worked with TIVO XL which was a generation before Premiere. They will find each other via network or using MOCA protocol over coax. If you have good wireless home network you can see your shows on FireTV stick also. NAme your Tivo boxes and you will find them under My Shows / Devices. Premiere look may differ if you did not receive the upgraded HD menu.

- Answer My understanding is that you MUST have an internet connection. Mine would not operate until it had one. I set it up while my internet was down and it basically froze (I could not finish the setup)until my service was restored.

- Answer No, they're not the same. The Roamio OTA *ONLY* works with Over the Air broadcasts (what the OTA stands for), and has 4 tuners. The Roamio Pro ONLY supports cable TV, and has 6 tuners and a larger hard drive for more storage. Also, you can't get lifetime service on the OTA model whereas you can on all other models (if you prefer paying once rather than continuously). The newer Tivo Bolt works with both over the air and cable, as did most older Tivos, but the Roamio OTA is over the air only, the Pro is cable only.

QuestionCan I use a Roamio OTA in one room and a Series 3 TiVo in another room?We have two TiVo Series 3 units for which we recently signed up for lifetime service. Is there any way we can incorporate either of these units into an OTA arrangement with one Roamio OTS unit, without running up the cost to where it is almost as high as the cable subscription we want to get rid of? (We already have Apple and Netflix, and plan to keep them.)

- Answer I'm not sure what you're asking...you can use TiVo series 3 units with free over the air broadcasts. You're saying you have two Tivos, and you want to buy a third? If so, the third needs service just like the first two, although at various points they've offered discounts if you own multiple Tivos. Newer Tivo units work with "TiVo Mini" units to stream video recorded on the Tivo to other TVs in your home, which in some cases might mean you don't need as many Tivo units, though unfortunately the Sesries 3 units don't support that. As far as I know, you can copy shows between most Tivo units on the same network, if that's what you're asking. I know I can copy from my S2 to my S3, though not the other way, since the S2 doesn't support HD, of course.

- Answer I'm not sure what you're asking. if your TV has two HDMI ports you can use a Tivo and a Chromecast simultaneously, but one has nothing to do with the other, other than both being hooked up to the same TV.

- Answer DSL is strong enough. Most routers have always on WiFi as I understand. I know the one I have from ATT does. Depending on your particular set up, you may find it advantageous to hard wire it to your router with an Ethernet cable.

- Answer Yes. If you have your HD antenna connected to one input and the Roku connected to another, you are good to go. Just switch inputs (with your TV remote) to watch one or the other.

- Answer I'm not 100% sure what you're asking. Do you mean to say you have cable TV service? If so, then you need literally any other Tivo OTHER than this one, as this one works only with over the air broadcasts, while all others work with both, or only with cable. If you're just talking about a physical cable that you use to hook up your antenna, then of course you hook up your antenna to the Tivo with a cable, instead of directly to your TV, and then hook your Tivo to your TV through HDMI.

- Answer Wow, you've got 49 channels you're pulling in? That's awesome! (I think I'm basically getting 13 channels.) Anyway yeah, the OTA model only works with over the air broadcasts, and would let you record anything you're getting now. I think service is more like $15/month or $150/year though? But anyway yeah it should work great.

- Answer I'd assume it only works with credit card, but you'd need to check with Tivo. It's a bit cheaper if you pay yearly, and also most Tivo units do have a lifetime service option, which costs a lot more, but eliminates monthly fees (for the lifetime of the given unit, not your lifetime). This OTA model though doesn't let you buy lifetime for it, I don't think (while the Bolt does).

- Answer Yes, there's a separate charge for each. At some points in time you've gotten a discount on service for additional units though. That may or may not still be the case, and may or may not apply to the OTA model. It's worth noting too that for some uses, you migth be able to use a single Tivo, and then a Tivo mini to stream content from that Tivo to another TV, which would eliminate the need for two Tivos, and thus eliminate the second fee-might be applicable in your case. Also you can buy lifetime service where you just pay once, but I think they've raised the price on it, and I don't think you're allowed to get it on the OTA model. I've got lifetime on both my Series 2 and Series 3 models (the former I've been using for 12 years, the latter for 8, though it JUST started having possible tech issues, so I'm probably replacing it with a Tivo Bolt, or maybe a Roamio OTA).
