A:AnswerTim, there's not a limit as it doesn't work by updating a database of known telemarketers like other phones. Any number that isn't in the phone's directory gets routed through a screening process on the phone. The caller gets a recorded message that informs them that a call screener is being used and to press a key on their phone then state their name. The phone then rings and plays the name of the person calling so you can decide if you want to answer or not.
It's SUPER easy to upload the directory from your cell phone to the base unit. (It connects easily over bluetooth and you can upload directories from up to 5 different phones.)
My parents used to get 40-50 telemarketer calls A DAY. The day after installing this phone, it's down to ZERO. It's absolutely brilliant.

A:AnswerSandy - Only the telephone base of the VTech IS8151-4 requires connection to the modem/telephone jack. The small chargers only require connection to AC power as the cordless handsets are registered wirelessly to the telephone base.

A:AnswerNo, but there is a setup printout. Best bet is to view and/or download the appropriate manual. You can do that before purchasing too. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerHi - The VTech IS8151-4 will ring on all incoming cellular calls from the paired cellphone. Regretfully, there is no setting to choose which calls it will receive from a paired cellphone.
