    Geek Squad Installation

    The Geek Squad arrived at the very end of a 4-hour window to install my Samsung Q500 series TV plus Doby sound bar and hook up everything to DirecTV. Time is valuable so it would have been nice if someone had call that morning to let the customer know that it would be at the end of a 4-hour period. The installation was excellent. They removed an old TV, mounted the new TV above a closet with a sound bar, and then hooked up everything to the DirecTV box including a disc player. They cleaned up everything and left the area in excellent condition. I only wish that they had taken a little more time to go over the remotes since the DirecTV remote could not control the on/off switch to the TV and the sound bar. They told me I had to contact DirecTV for a new remote. Despite this inconvenience and the 4-hour wait, I would use the GEEK SQUAD anytime that I need electronic installations. They know what they are doing; they take care not to damage property of the customer; they clean up and remove everything; and the picture and sound on this new TV is simply amazing!!

    Ed Fitzgerald. the installer from the Milford Ma, store was excellent. This was a very large purchase so having the install done professionally made sense. Ed's experience in home theater installations was evident in the exceptional job of installing my LG OLED TV and sound bar. He conducted a full demonstration of how to navigate settings and operate the system.

    They did a great job mounting my tv and setting sonos sound bar and recommended the sound bar bracket that hangs from the tv. They had supplies in their truck and where able to take a credit card on the spot.

    Customer told important to know exactly where to place TV so as not to drill holes too close. Hmmm? Won't be visible, but hope it doesn't effect stability of the TV...

    December 31, 2017 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure that I write this long overdue letter in regards to the outstanding service that the Geek Squad Technicians located at Best Buy, 8012 N. 10th Street, McAllen, Texas demonstrated by setting up and mounting our 75 inch Sony TV screen on Saturday, October 28, 2017. My family and I would like to personally say, “Thank You” to Nathan, George and Daniel who did an outstanding job with facilitating the installation. Each of these technicians were very polite, professional, and well-versed in their field of expertise. They were prompt with their time of arrival, extremely efficient demonstrating “Time on Task”, and courteous enough to answer questions thoroughly while completing their installation. We felt very comfortable having these technicians in our home. Each of the technicians – Nathan, George and Daniel were very friendly and approachable which is extremely vital in establishing excellent public relation skills with Best Buy Customers. We were very impressed with the caliber of expertise and the quality of personal attention that each of these individuals conveyed, particularly when these traits are rare in this day and age. On behalf of the Rodriguez Family, we would all like to sincerely acknowledge and thank each individual technician for their contribution in completing an outstanding job in our home. We absolutely love our television, and would also like to say “Thank You” to the Managerial Personnel who also assisted us when the computer system went down in the store during our purchase. I do not know their complete names, but they all made it happen – Frank, Mr. Matias and assistant Sophia and your General Manager for assisting us with our television. This is not the first time that we have received excellent service from your store, but this was the first time we had ever received Geek Squad Service in our home. Your technicians made quite an impression on us, and we would like to sincerely say, “Thank You”!!!!!!     I am so happy I had the Geek Squad install my new TV. Great people, very friendly and kind. They take all the worries out of the install AND the many choices you will have to make as far as setting up your new TV...I am somewhat up of todays electronic stuff but many of the SET_UP choices I did not have a clue which to choice...They tell you about each set-up idem and explain what it means so you can make the best choice. If you are not that up on all the settings and you choice even one setting incorrectly you may not be getting the best out of your TV and not know it...that is worth their fee right there. I have the 5 year extend so after Leroy finished, clean everything up AND took the box it came in ..its a big box and I really would not want to store it for years in my attic. Because if there is a problem Geek will fix or repair it no boxes needed!!! Because of;;; 1.Perfit install, 2.clean work, 3. got everything working as should be, 4. friendly help people, 5 neatness, 6 on time arrival, I rate this service 5 stars.

    The two men came in & took care of business very sufficiently, I even add an extra service while they were here to put the TV I was replacing to another spot. $100. & done very well. The only thing with these 2 fellows, is that they spoke to each other as if they've been married for 20 years. LOL I guess for a lack of a better word, they like to bicker with one another. It's no big deal, I found it comical & their system seems to work well. I have an aunt & uncle that have the same relationship & they'll be together till death do they part. That's just how they get along best. Anyway, good job guys & thanks!

    This was our first large tv purchase in which we wanted to mount it on a wall in our basement. The Geek Squad advisor suggested that we purchase a certain wall mount to hold the size of the tv, advised us as to where the best placement would be, and did an outstanding job of drilling the mounting into the wall including covering all the furniture and cleaning up everything before he left. He understood that because of the placement of our tv in a corner, that a certain mounting bracket would be best for our tv. We are very heppy with the entire process.

    I bought a new 60” 4K HDR LG TV and an LG sound bar. I wanted to wall mounted and bought a tilt capable bracket as well. I used the GEEK SQUAD to do this. The two techs that did this were excellent and know their business. The install was top notch. No wires are showing and my TV looks fantastic mounted. They also mounted the LG sound bar to the tv. They made sure that everything was working and clearly instructed me on the various capabilities of both the tv and sound bar. The Techs were professional and courteous and I am very satisfied.

    I have extremely thick drywall on my walls that cover the initial brick walls. As a city dweller, it's great insulation (and for keeping unwelcome noise out) for my condo; however, the thickness also makes it difficult to mount a tv. That said, when Geek Squad visited my unit to mount my tv, they were able to do so in a prompt and effective manner, and I'm glad to have used them as opposed to attempting to mount the bracket myself. I'd strongly recommend using Geek Squad in the future.

    Its Better to let them do it for Liability reasons

    When you get protection on big screened tv it's better to just have Bestbuy install it on the wall. If anything was to ever happen, such as tv falling off the wall, because best buy put it up your covered. Even if you have protection on the tv, but install it your self, and something happens like the wall mount not being put up properly and tv falling; the protection won't cover it because you refused their professionally trained installers and did it your self.

    The installer felt my existing mount was actually a better fit than the new one I had purchased. So I got to return that one and saved a nice sum of money. I hope Best Buy is supportive of this because it is always the right thing to do the right thing- regardless of short term financial considerations. I spent a lot on the TV and other items with BB so the action of this tech actually reinforced that BB is a good company to do business with.

    MY GEEK SQUAD SERVICE PLAN CAME IN HANDY! ONCE THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE AT BEST BUY EXPLAINED THE IMPORTANCE AND THE BENEFITS OF HAVING IT I WAS SOLD! BECAUSE OF ME ALWAYS BUYING SOMETHING FROM BEST BUY AND PAYING SEPERATE INSTALLMENT FEES THIS MADE PERFECT SENSE TO GET, I HAVE 1 YEAR TO GET ALL MY INSTALLS AT A FAIR PRICE! IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO LOVED BEDT BUY LIKE I DO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!

    I actually hang TVs in my everyday job but the TV hang came free with the purchase of my TV so I figured why not let BestBuy cover it in case it falls. I knew the dimensions of my TV so I went ahead and taped off the wall exactly where I wanted it to make things go smoothly. I can't say I would have done a better job. They put the tv exactly inside the lines. Also while setting up the TV the took good care of the TV as if it where their own TV. Great job.

    Many competitors say that paying for the services from geek Squad is a waste and fraud. I could not disagree more. I always pay for the extras. It is like an insurance policy to make sure that things are are handled properly the first time. Yes it costs more but they guarantee their work and get it right. If I would have hung this 75" tv on the wall, there would be a million pieces of glass on the floor and $3,000 down the drain.

    My appt was from 12-4pm. They called me at 9:30am and said that they would be there at 11am or a bit earlier. They came at 11:45am. Got the TV installed in no time. They wore booties over their shoes when they came into our house. They cleaned up the mess they made from cutting into the sheetrock. After the installation was completed, they showed us how to use the TV. They were very professional. No complaint from me.

    They installed a wall mount TV and did a great job. The two guys who showed up were professional and got the job done in no time. They also called ahead of time to confirm appointment and again 20 min before arriving at my house. They explained what they were going to do and during answered any questions that I had. Extremely clean workers, they go out of their way to make sure that are cleaning every step that they are doing.

    I had the Geek Squad mount my KS 9000 Samsung 65" tv. They were very professional at their craft. They drilled a hole behind the tv and another at the bottom of the wall and ran the power cord and four HDMI cable's thru the wall. Now there are no cables visual under the tv. Looks like a large picture hanging on the wall. They also installed the tv mount into the studs in the wall. I would recommend their service to anybody.

    I bet over the years that the Geek Squad has been to 4 of my homes for installation. They came to the house Saturday to install and mount my 65" Sony TV and my Sonus Surround Sound system. The installation was perfect, and they stayed after to make sure I knew how to work everything. They even left their cell phone numbers if I had any problems in the future so that I could call them. Excellent job and I am very happy, again!
