    Very pleased with the set up and instruction given by Josh. He mounted the tv on an existing bracket and attached our Apple TV, blue ray, CD player and Bose surround system making the configuration and wiring much better than we had with the previous TV which was installed by a different store. We were instantly comfortable with all the features of the tv as well.

    I have never used Geek Squad before. To be completely honest I am always a determined to do it myself and save the money. But since I was mounting a 75" tv into a entertainment piece I didnt want to screw it up (little room for error). The Geek Squad team showed up right on time. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Explained everything to me and both of them were respectful of my house and belongings. I honestly could not have asked for a better team.

    It took a while to get the appointment scheduled properly, but from there, everything went smooth. The Geeks came early in their window. In getting ready to mount the TV, they were able to re-use the one I had - saving me $100 and then another $40 in not needing the HDMI cable I had bought (The store told me to buy ... just in case I needed it ... so no upselling). They were efficient and showed me some tricks with the TV. Very positive.

    They tried to leave out with only mounting TV when I paid for hidden wires. Then they tried to make every excuse as to why they couldn't hide wires. Luckily I had a contractor present who basically told them to quit the bs and hide the cables. They did and did a good job.

    This is more of a Geek Squad Review. But does touch on Best Buy's customer service philosophy. I was looking forward to having my newly purchased Sony XBR55X900E TV installed today. But it was not to be. Upon my Geek Squad Tech arriving, I showed him where the XBR55X900e would be mounted. As well, I showed him the brand new, never used full motion wall mount I purchased elsewhere. Without any effort to inspect the mount or exploring how the mount attaches to the wall, He dismissed my mount as "unsafe" even though it is rated for 55" TV's up to 89 pounds, and sold by a major retailer. The Tech did offer to sell me a different wall mount off his truck, a proposition that I found distasteful. Interestingly, BestBuy offers many similar mounts with identical attachment hardware. The attitude conveyed is if ‘you don't buy my TV wall mount, you don't get your TV installed’. One positive comment for the Tech, was he remained courteous throughout our brief encounter. While the discouraging downside is the overall impression conveyed that he was more interested (as it turned out, the impression affirmed by the BB manager as well) in refunding the transaction. In fact, the attitude was rather cavalier, more so - we would prefer to refund rather than satisfy a customer. When asked for the name of the Tech’s managers, I was informed that the Tech currently does not have a manager, or any other supervision. He did volunteer that a colleague was filling the role until a manager is hired. The broader downside (which BB is eager to explore) is to ignore the impact of poor service on future sales. In my case, I was planning to replace all my appliances via Best Buy. My decision is largely influenced by the conduct of my sales representative as well as my overall in store experience. That said, given the rather lack luster service side of the transaction, accompanied by the clear implication that my business is not valued, and dismissible, I will shop elsewhere. Curious that BB with the assistance of Geek Squad is more eager to step towards retail oblivion than extend even a modest effort to resolve a problem.

    The two geek squad employees were very nice and knowledgeable but they did drop the old tv on the way out and damaged the floor and wall of my home and now no one will answer my calls and email about repairs

    The TV was mounted safely; however, the installer could have been more diligent in making sure the mount was level. It is not a big deal, because there are other adjustment to make the TV sit level.

    You will never see it again so how it looks is of no concern but i will touch on that for a sec, black and sturdy. The thing I like the most about it is the adjustability and speed of assembly and hanging.

    Had the Best Buy Geek Squad wall mount my 2016 LG OLED 55" TV. The two technicians arrived on-time, were professional, did an excellent job of mounting the TV exactly where I wanted it, and answered all of my questions. If you're in the Chicago area, I would request Tristan and Andre to do your installation if possible.

    It took two tries for crew to mount 60 inch TV. Now have four holes in the wall. TV does cover the practice holes. Need to closely supervise and provide timely input.

    They did an excellent job hanging my new television to the wall. The two installers were very professional in every way. Not only did the explain everything about my new television they went above and beyond making sure they cleaned everything when they were done. I will definitely use the geek squad again.
