Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was all excited to make the big jump to oled only to find the screen damaged by poor packaging on dells part they do not put a plastic peel on the screen and it causes damage in shipping a quick search online and this has been happing for 2 years now on a 1000$ monitor this is un acceptable shame on dell for not spending 2 pennies on a plastic screen peel every monitor will have this issue just hold a light to it and you will see it run away from this monitor.

Awesome Monitor. Horrible Bestbuy Experience
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a beautiful monitor, the best. It is arguably better than the more expensive AW3423DW. For gaming and media consumption, man, what an experience. However Bestbuy's poor quality control and process completely ruined this purchase for me. I purchased this as Open-Box: EXCELLENT. Bestbuy describes this as everything being inspected and set to factory condition, that it's like new. The monitor arrived n the worst shape I've seen any tech gadget being in. It looks like it's been in a monitor-shredder. A 10+ year old used monitor would look better than this. This does not just look used, but ABUSED heavily. *Scratches ALL OVER THE SCREEN *Deep dents around the edges of the screen *Deep dents on the stand *Missing critical accessories *Started up with screen in urgent need of pixel refresh and monitor refresh. *I'm sure there's deeper damage to the screen, but it's impossible to inspect due to all the scratches. Seriously, it looks like a cat treated this monitor as a scratch post for 10 years. Here's everything that's missing: - Everything from the original packaging is missing, except the screen, stand, power cord, and display cable. - No film that protects the screen. - No foam/cardboard packaging that holds the screen in place - No documentation of any kind. - No screen cleaner. - No warranty card. - No quick start guide. - No factory calibration certification. FURTHERMORE. Essential accessories that's part of the monitor is missing. Such as the back cover that covers up the cable guide area. I was shocked to see the monitor came in a generic cardboard box. The screen was just thrown in there with a bunch of bubble wraps. There was absolutely to protect the screen or protect it from shifting and bumping around. No packaging except the box and bubbles, and certainly nothing that was the original packaging. And all that, this was certified as "EXCELLENT" condition. Wow. Returning prompto. Other than that this would've been a great monitor for gaming and multimedia.

Broke at 11 months
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Died at 11 months. Set the panel to sleep went to work when I came back and turned it on it would not display properly. Factory reset, disconnect power and inputs, left powered off all night and nothing. Below are a few pictures of what was displayed it would no longer display the color black and would instead show a blown up white all across the screen. Dell is issuing a replacement but it is not a new unit only a refurbishment. I haven’t gotten the replacement unit but I have a feeling it probably won’t last long either. Do yourselves a favor and go with a different brand like lg or Samsung. Or get best buys insurance so you don’t have to deal with dells terrible practices.

Avoid this monitor and all AW3423DW & DWF models
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Dell AW3423DWF monitor on May 31, 2023. The monitor worked great for a few weeks/couple of months; however, I noticed odd spots under the screen's outer layer. Initially, I thought it was just debris from sitting too close; however, after cleaning the monitor per the manufacturer's instructions, I realized it was not on the outside of the monitor. Becoming busy with life as a new dad and joining a new team at work, I lost track of time and filled out my first warranty claim with Dell on December 12, 2023. Customer service processed my claim and sent me a replacement monitor, which arrived a few days before December 31, 2023. Within literal days of setting up the new monitor, the same issue began to emerge with this new monitor. So, on December 31, I emailed Dell support and informed them I received another defective AW3423DWF monitor yet again. By January 2, 2024, Dell support had my 3rd monitor heading my way. Once again, work picked up due to EOY/FOY workloads, and I lost track of time. By January 18, I had the new monitor unboxed and set up, only to find the monitor arrived with scratches and a loose screw floating around in the box. I tested the monitor, and the scratch was not noticeable when in use, so I decided to deal with it as long as the original defect did not appear. Unfortunately, a few days after setting up the monitor, I came in to start my day only to find that the same issue started again, with even larger spots appearing. I contacted BestBuy today, January 27, to see if they would remedy this situation since they were the original seller of this defective monitor line; however, due to the time since purchase, BestBuy is unwilling to work with me to remedy this solution. TLRD: I 100% DO NOT recommend purchasing this monitor. I am going on my 3rd warranty claim to receive my 4th monitor in less than one year. Spend the extra cash and get an LG or Samsung until Dell/AW figures out how to create a UW monitor that is not defective.

Dead Pixel's on 2 returns.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Open to changing the review after product fix. This is the 2nd purchase from bestbuy. After finding a dead pixel on the first purchase I returned the product. The only available product in stock was a verified return monitor through geek squad. Being uncertain of the reason the monitor was returned I asked AT LEAST 5 times there would be no issues with the product, they reassured me through pridefully explaining the expertise of Geek Squad. Unpacked the monitor and BAM another dead pixel monitor, this one being right in the middle. Not only defective, I later learned that the product had gone on sale that same day AND had should've had a reduced price because it was a returned item. They did not reduce or refund any of the original purchase price. All in all I am a very reasonable individual and love the monitor. I just want one that is in FULL WORKING CONDITION.

Lasted 5 months, warranty through dell scam
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This montior lasted 5 months, some pixels died leaving about a one inch diameter hole in the screen. I treated this monitor like a baby, cleaned the screen gently once a week, every left it on if i wasn't playing. Contacted support and they told me I damaged it snd nothing they could do. There are cheaper options that are bot only same specs sometimes higher refresh rates.

Great product when it works but too much hassle
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I spent this much on a monitor. Pros: Extreme clarity, OLED is just amazing when it works Cons: Product is glitchy at best, constant burn in(mind you only after few hours of use), annoying pixel refresh sessions, blank screen power cycle issues which is very common according to dell.com and reddit. It doesn’t matter the technology or the amazing quality of visuals if the product glitches out every hour with absolutely no apparent fix. Returned the second day after burn-in came back at same spot, mind you I had this monitor for two days and I only used it for about 10 hours with pixel refresh and panel refresh when I saw the initial glitch

Coil Whine and Quality Control
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely awesome monitor. Terrible Quality Control. After owning this monitor for 3 years, it developed an awful coil wine. Luckily I was able to replace the monitor, but after three more attempts, each new monitor had the same or worse coil whine. Alienware really let me down. Went to the LG 5K2K and haven't looked back. Much better monitor.

Quailty issues .
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this montior is amazing . But i cant see past the quality issues on this montior . I have repalced this montior twice through dell and both replacement had the same defect on the screen . The way dell packs these montiors causes them to get bubble mark smears all over the screen that will not come off . Once you see those bubble marks you cant unsee them . I ened up giving up and just returning it and going with the next best samsung g8 neo . If your okay with paying 1,000$ for a montior with screen damage and defects this montior is amazing .Its not just a couple of marks on the display its hundreds if not thosands of little smear marks all over .

Returned due to damage from packaging
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The display technology is excellent but the packaging is damaging the screen. I opened the box to discover that the foam/bubble wrap layer that makes direct contact with the screen had left marks behind. These marks do not come off. I exchanged it for a new one, same problem. Did it once more, same problem again, and gave up. Returned for full refund. Note to Dell: It's always on the left side of the monitor It's a known manufacturing/shipping issue that ruins an otherwise good product: https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/13wvimn/should_i_return_screen_defect_aw3423dwf/

Should've been a great experience, mine had damage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Welp, I was excited to get an oled monitor and sure enough the one I got was damaged. They don't put a plastic peel film on the screen and they sit it right on the foam inside the box. Mine had the faom rub against the screen so much that it caused a bunch of micro scratches and these weird looking bubbles on the screen. Almost like it was making the coating on the screen bubble off of it. Shame because it looked like it would be a great monitor.

Bad QC.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately this monitor had smudges from the screen protector that comes with the packaging. It's almost as oils or something from the screen protector head gone into the screen and deteriorated along the top and along the bottom of where it was taped at. No matter what I did with screen solution spray or microfiber cloth, nothing was coming off. Unfortunately it seems like others have the same issue.
