It was ok but it would be better if it came with a screen saver and I think the price could have gone down a little bit more

This watch is much faster compared to older versions without the drastic increase in price. It may not be able to be completely submerged but if you don't plan to intentionally swim or shower with it, then you can go without that feature. Also, it doesn't have the gps capabilities without your phone in range, however, if you don't go running you can go without this feature as well. There are consistently new app being released for the watch that make it more enjoyable. The sounds for notifications aren't too loud but I still notice them. I feel like I use it a lot at work (we aren't allowed to have our phones on us) and at the gym. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the heart rate monitor works. Overall, a great value for the price.

    My Wife Loves It!

My wife is not a technology enthusiast, but she really loves the Apple Watch. The notifications are the best thing about the Apple Watch. She uses some of the fitness tracking capabilities but mainly uses it for walking. I have the Series 2 Nike+ Apple Watch and feel that the extra price for GPS wasn't worth it. The Series 1 is great.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my fiance, I could not have moreso hit the mark on this one. The diamond earrings I also gifted were literally pushed aside and she has been playing with the watch ever since. Apple knocked it out of the park for those who love the number of features, like fitness tracking, texts and email notifications, and much more, she seems to be finding new ways to use it. She recently purchased a different band to make the watch "elegant", and wore it proud with an evening gown and rocked it. You'd never know it was the same watch she wore to the gym or took on a hike days before.

The good Costs less than Apple Watch Series 3. Has Apple Pay, heart rate functions, and runs all the same apps. Similar design and uses same bands, too. The bad Lacks swim-ready water resistance and onboard GPS found in Series 3 models. Only comes in aluminum. Doesn't have the Wi-Fi music streaming and Radio app of Series 3 models. The bottom line If you're not a runner or a swimmer, the entry-level Apple Watch has most of what you'll need at a more affordable price.

I have only had it for a couple of days, but so far I am really enjoying this watch. The set up was extremely easy. I have the iPhone 7 which came preloaded with an Apple Watch app. You pretty much just have to follow the instructions in the app and you can get your watch set up and ready to go. The watch runs smoothly and seems to switch effortlessly between various apps. There are plenty of apps that you can download and add to your watch to make it your own. I have used the phone feature, where I can talk to someone through my phone. That worked pretty well. I have also used the verbal texting feature and that worked fine. The watch notifications seem to work fine. You can change the strength of the vibration and turn the sound off and on. You can also customize which apps send notifications. Plus, I was able to pricematch this watch so I got it for $199 instead of the usual $269. As of now, I do not have anything bad to say about the watch. If that changes, I will update my review.

I was between this and the Fitbit Charge 2 because I thought I wouldn't use all the features. I was just interested in the heart rate, but I'm glad my husband convinced me to get this one. There is all the same fitness tracking like in the Fitbit so that's great. I was concerned I would spend more money for a Watch and not use ANY of the other features but I was wrong. It's nice getting the notifications and being able to look or respond to messages or calls. I have my smart home stuff connected too and that's been easy to access. My last and main concern was the size. I have small arms and didn't want it to look bulky or manly that's the main reason I was looking at the Fitbit but once I tried this one on I loved it. It's not too big for me at all and it looks so sleek. I love that I can change the bands as well. I would say just go for the more expensive one (Apple vs Fitbit) because for not that much more money you'll get more features you might not even know you'll like until later!

    ALMOST PERFECT...

Apple never ceases to amaze me with such awesome gadgets and gizmos and the Apple Watch is perfect....we'll almost. Keep in mind I'm reviewing the series 1 and the 38mm which I chose simply because I'm a female with very small wrists and the 42 would have looked GINORMOUS. Again, Apple far outdoes itself with all the awesome features like the personalized watch face, the "activity" app which has entirely replaced my Fitbit Alta, and the ability to do pretty much everything short of answering emails, but the BEST FEATURE for this mom of 3 is the "ping my phone" button. With a few simple taps on the screen my phone with begin a melodious "ping" noise allowing me to know it's mysterious location no matter how hard my 10yr Old tries to hide it. The ONLY 2 drawbacks (and allow me to AGAIN SAY THIS IS FOR THE SERIES 1-- APPLE HAS SINCE PUT OUT A SECOND SERIES AND A NIKE LINE AS WELL SO THESE ISSUES MAY HAVE BEEN RESOLVED) so... I'd say the battery life is less then stellar but based upon its size and the amount I use it I'd have to say it will go about 8-10hrs on full charge and I use mine A LOT. Also, the box says it's NOT WATER RESISTANT... the box clearly states it's ok splash wise like I.e.- hand washing and etc but by NO MEANS can it get wet much less becomes submerged. LIKE THE TITLE STATES.... almost perfect. I bought the series 1 kinda like a test run before I sank like 2x the $$ into a newer Apple Watch because let's face it these things aren't cheap however, I've come to find you get what you pay for and as far as my experience with Apple I've never been anything less then satisfied :)

    Great for Medical Uses!

I purchased the Apple Watch to monitor my heart rate due to medical problems and decided the Apple Watch was a better fit over the FitBit. Boy I was definitely correct- the Apple Watch has so many more features. The heart rate function works great, and with HeartWatch I can have it saved. Another cool function is the medical alert and ID, where if you hold down the lock button your emergency contacts will be sent. your location and your message. It will also call 911 for you. Then it will show your medical ID until you put in your passcode. I overall love my Apple Watch, I use it everyday! Having my messages and phone calls on my wrist is great, and using maps is even easier with the watch. I do not mind it not being waterproof, but if you are a big swimmer I would recommend the series 2. The battery life is about a day so I charge my watch with my phone at night. I tested sleeping tracker apps and none worked very well anyways. Overall my Apple Watch was a great purchase and I love it! I do recommend getting the Apple Care as I can see it being easy to scratch the screen. If you have other Apple products like a Mac, you can unlock it with your Apple Watch which is pretty cool! You can also use it as a remote if you have an Apple TV.

Still learning the watch but I absolutely love it. It's one of those items once you purchase you don't know how you ever lived without it. I have home security among many other things and the watch alerts me even when my phone is not right beside me. It took me some time to purchase this because of the price but even now after only two weeks and still learning everything it can do I understand the price and for what you get it's well worth it. If you think about it...a lot of people buy a watch (not a smart watch) that does nothing more then tell you the time and date and maybe has an alarm and pay a lot more then the price of this watch. Don't mess with the other so called smart watches that are cheaper. Buy the right one and this watch is it!
