Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem & AC2350 Wi-Fi Router Combo's ease of use, strong performance, and reliable Wi-Fi. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and the value for the price. App does not work

The device is good. Not too difficult to install. The McAfee application that is associated with it for parental controls is not user friendly. Was able to do initial setup of the application using my android mobile device. Logged out of my account and have not been able to log back into it since. Set the modem back to default settings. Tried to reconnect my mobile device after reconfiguring the settings on the modem and the application is not allowing me to connect to the modem. Did some research of the application and did not see any positive reviews of the application. Would not recommend this device to those that are solely purchasing it for the parental controls. If your not concerned with the parental controls than I would recommend it.

Steer clear of Arris, bad customer service

Product only worked 9-10 months, then started rebooting itself and killing the network, frequency up to every 20 minutes. Arris customer service was awful, just said would replace, but it’s either ship the bad one to them and wait another WEEK after that to receive the new one, or pay up to $50 plus tax to get one shipped first. Then the email with payment info never showed up, so another 45 minutes on the chat to finally get that, and then the payment system wouldn’t take my card. I give up, ordering another brand. Will steer clear of Arris in the future.

Speed is good, but has trouble allowing older devices onto the wifi. Cell phones and Apple computer are fine, but our TV requires password entry each day. My Dell laptop is kicked off every 20 minutes. My Epson printer shows connected but can't receive print jobs.

    Arris software is terrible

Wouldn't connect to Arris site or xfinity so I could get it set up. We got connection after an hour on the phone with xfinity, but the Aris website wouldn't load so I could change the name of the network and the password. The machine itself worked, but the Arris software was terrible. I lost a day working on it. I finally switched to Motorola and that one worked flawlessly and had it set up in half an hour. Arris has lost my business and Best Buy has lost my trust for recommending this.

Constantly resets and reboots at random. I’ve checked with my provider and no issues with connectivity. Other people have had similar issues.

I gave it a 2 star only for the reason that it's not compatible with Optimum. I was looking forward to see the type of performance it had but unfortunately I never witnessed it.

Very unimpressed with the performance. After a month I am still fighting with streaming freezing while using wireless connection despite the only being 3 feet between the modem and the Apple box. Wish I had kept the box and receipt. I works return it in a heatbeat and go to something else. I only have 4 items hooked into this so it's not like I have a lot of things banging away at it.

When it worked it was ok. However, all devices were reported under 2.4 GHZ so often connected devices wouldn't be recognized or work. The signal was spotty and trying to use it in conjunction with a repeater was absolutely futile. I can't even sell it to someone else for $50 and feel good about doing it unless I'm completely honest with them.

We purchased this router when our netgear C7000 burned out. We've noticed a significant slowdown in internet speed and the reach is just not there...we've had to add an extender in the house to make it work. Also having significant issues with getting our wireless printer back online. Should have just re-purchased the C7000.

It may say XFinity.. but its not part of the companies list. They are able to use it.. but if u pay for 1000mbps, you are not gonna get it. It maxs out at 600-700. I had to return it and got a netgear that was on the list. World of difference when you follow the list.

This router/modem combo works only ok. I find myself restarting it 2-3 times per week when we notice the internet speeds are sluggish. Only get better speeds for a couple days before it slows again. Doesn’t matter if I’m in the same room as the device or in the bedroom,

This is great when it works. But i can never be sure if it's the router or the cable company. We have to restart this at least once per day in order to keep data flowing.
