So I needed a scanner, because my old flatbed died and it's how I keep my docs in order digitally. I hadn't even looked at the multifunctions because I didn't want a third (!) printer in the house, and thought they would be more expensive. Lo, and behold, this little gem jumped off the shelf (okay, so it was the high rack with the help of the nice sales guy) at me with a price point $40 lower than the cheapest of the flatbeds I was looking at, and it had the automatic doc feed, which is way expensive on the flatbeds. I went ahead and got it, and am using the printer as a supplementary "copier" function for things I don't care about, but need to copy anyway. The thing is great, and it's really easy to use. I got my own homeowner's policy scanned in about ten minutes thanks to this little guy, and it would have taken about an hour with my old one.

I spent TWICE as much on a cannon printer and had nothing but problems-mainly WiFi SUCKED!! This Brother printer was so much easier to install and works wayyyy better!!! No problems at all with it (knock on wood:) And the sale price was HALF what I paid for the Cannon-ON SALE!! I've had to replace my HP printers about every year, hoping this is better in the long haul!!

When I bought a new laptop, my old printer was no longer compatible. I was very distraught because I have had it for over a decade and it still was an excellent printer. I researched various printers because it had to be able to do everything and better, since it's new. I found that in this Brother printer. It copies, scans, faxes, and of course prints efficiently.

I got it for a home office, I really wanted all functionalities included: scanner, copier and printer. I looked at different brands and models and settled on this one. It was very easy to install, the wireless functionality is priceless since we can also use it as a home printer as well. Print quality is really good for an inkjet. overall great value and great purchase.

I replaced a Lexmark MFD that was to expensive to operate and the ink kept drying up. I've had Brother MFDs before and liked them. This one is just as good. Nothing fancy. It just works and is easy to use. Setup was easy (just follow the directions) and you will be working in no time. Print quality is pretty good, but I haven't printed any photographs yet.

My husband is in dental school and we were needing an affordable, yet great quality printer and we found it with this one! Very easy to connect to our computers (wireless) and our phones. One neat fact is that it can print on notecards (which is dandy for students). Thumbs up for this GREAT printer! We love it! Prints pretty fast as well and a great size!

Great printer and copier.Great scanner also.No undersized scans or pages partially cut off as has happened to me with HP and Lexmark scanners.Very easy to start scanning.Just plug it in and hit the scan button and the printer starts the scan program right up(Once it's installed on your computer of course). Excellent Price! Great Value For Money!

I bought this wifi printer when it was on sale about a month ago. Couldn't be more happy with the purchase. I use it at home for occasional printing and scanning. Printing speeds and quality are good enough for home use. It does 600 dpi scanning at same quality as my $$$ office scanner at same resolution. What is amazing is that it produces searchable text pdf files with no software installation on computer. This makes the content reusable in other documents, email or archiving. As a test, I tried scanning some magazine advertisements with logo/text against graphic backgrounds and it created searchable pdf files effortlessly. The printer is packed with features accessible from the little color screen. I often find myself using the scan to email and the google cloud print features. The double sided printing is absolutely great and OEM ink is cheaply available resulting in cost savings. My only gripe is that it does not automatically scan both sides of a page. Although, it is possible to manually scan several pages into a single pdf or word document. It also has a scan to excel feature which I have not yet used. All said and done, you cannot go wrong with this purchase.

Bought this printer after reading the great reviews and love it. Quality color printing for a ink jet printer, good scanner & copier. Didn't try yet the fax function, so can't comment on it yet. But for overall, for the price, I think it's a good buy and very practical. 4 functions in one machine that saves a lot of office space.

So far the best printer I have owned! Compact and efficient product for all print/copy/scan needs at home, and my light-volume business jobs. Worth every penny of the cost (plus the ink is inexpensive compared to all other manufacturers). I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a reliable printing, scanning and copying product.

Although it may print a bit slow compared to other printers, this printer has been amazing for school. The ink is cheap, and brother is one of the top printer brands in terms of reliability. I bought it online, and picked it up at my local best buy within 10 minutes.

Initially looking for a budget printer and scanner I ended up buying this lovely machine (at a budget price) that has everything I thought would be in a more expensive "office kind" of machine: automatic document feeder (great for scanning more than one page), 2 sided printing (big surprise I discovered at home, saves paper!), wireless printing and fax (have not used this feature yet, probably will not).
I also wanted to change from the only brands I have bought before: HP and Epson. I see the same or better quality and speed plus all the features I mention at the beginning. I also bought Brother as I have read online that the generic inks are good, but of course Brother does not recommend anything other than their own innobella inks, which I also bought. Eventually I will try generic ink just based on my budget. As a teacher I will not be able to keep up with original price ink.
Regarding software, it is just the same as my previous brands: a lot of complicated sofware! I just don't wanna care about that, I just installed the recommended, that seems like a lot, and it has worked, even updating the machine's firmware. I have to say that instead of using my normal windows fax/scanner software to scan I have been using control center and it does the job. I like having that control. But the software seems to leave a lot installed on your computer, icons and permanent notifications.
Summarizing a nice machine, recommended for those home users willing to try out Brother. I still need to use it more and use generic ink to complete this review.

I bought this printer a little less than a month ago and I'm in love!! It boots up quick, prints quick with great quality, and is not too loud either. It does great with small printing jobs as well as bigger ones too. It's easy to set up and I got it on sale for $45 making it even better. This printer is the best!!

The printer was easy to set up and came with every think I needed. This device also has many outstanding features that will help with a small home office. Either printing for home use, homework, or office reports this is the printer to use. Lastly I'd like to add that the print quality is almost comparable to a laser.

Set up was super easy. This thing has wifi. So no wires needed to connect my computer to the printer. I print from my laptop while in bed. Nice. Print quality is very good. I've used copy, scan and fax functions so far. I haven't used the scan function yet. Very easy to use. Ink for this printer isn't super expensive. I can't comment on the longevity of the printer or how long the ink cartridges last as I've only had the thing for a month. So far I am extremely pleased with this product and definitely recommend it as an entry level inkject all in one for personal or small home office use.
