Looses connection to print via WI-FI, the panel in small and black and white very hard to ready.

Vibrant Photos

The photos from this printer are excellent. My old HP photo printer stopped working and I was looking for something to replace it. I initially just order some prints from amazon and they were trash. Flimsy paper and dull prints. So after researching I came across this Canon printer. The photos were so vibrant and after I figured out how to make it auto print, I was good. My primary use for this printer will be photos. So if that is what you are looking for then grab this printer. It would be more awesome if it printed on 12x12 paper too.

Crafter's dream printer

This printer is a crafters dream. It handles cardstock so easily with no special settings. Can run A2-A7 thru with no problem. Prints quickly. Like the power saver that shuts off overnight. I also like the fact I buy the ink and refill myself. Those ink cartridges are so expensive. My first Cannon printer and I am so happy.

It's a printer

Working fine in all modes, one star subtracted because the install download includes a lot of software features that I have no idea whether I need them or not, and if I should "install all" or not. Also a bit plasticy sounding when working which doesn't give faith in long term operation.

Cheaply made but it works

Construction and material of very flimsy poor quality not any near the the quality of my older similar canon printer. It sounds like a bunch of marbles in a tin can when it goes through the cycles. Display window is to small and without lighted back ground is extremely difficult to read. Bottle ink a big dollar saving plus!!! So far it works???

No "Auto On" is a show stopper

It prints well, but it is over priced lacking key features. Because it is not "auto on" it is a pain to use since our printer is in the office and our laptops are used in other parts of the house.

Don’t buy if using infrequently

Bought this printer 3 years ago because I didn’t like the wasteful cartridges of my old IP6700D.
Don’t buy this model if you sometimes go long periods without using. Half of our nozzles are not working correctly after multiple cleaning cycles. In the past i”ve tried the messy and time-consuming operation of pulling and trying to clean the print heads, with limited success.
I’ve resorted to using my trusty old 6700D. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to get cartridges for this nearly two decade old machine.

It was a nightmare to download and it tried to force me to sign up for an account and pay for a recovery service.
