I am enjoying my computer that I purchased at Best Buy. The price was worth the quality of my product. I really like the fact that I joined the Geek club who prepared my computer after purchasing. This service saved me time trying to set up my computer.

I purchased this laptop for work. And it does what I need it to do. Nice big screen. Great picture quality. BUT there are some things I have reservations about, you cant upgrade the ram past 8gigs. also the power adapter is a new style for Dell and they them selves don't even know it yet. I tried 6 different times to purchase a card adapter from Dell directly giving them the exact serial and model number. And they were not aware that this particular laptop requires a 4.5mm slim power adapter. to this day I can not get one. the touch screen has a very bad glare in the sun. so be aware of this. But all in all... the laptop works great. and I would not complain about its function. But I would not purchase it again. great for kids. for after school home work surfing the web. things like that.

I purchase this computer as a replacement to my 4 year old one, and it is excellent. The battery life is soo long!! But I would say, I do wish sometimes that the screen brightness could be higher even when at max brightness and the touchscreen sometimes, like 3 times since I purchased it a month ago, doesn't always work when put into tablet mode, but I just flip it back to laptop mode, and back to tablet mode and it works perfect. Overall however, a great product. But I did notice a slowdown of a tad with the upgrade to Windows 10 from 8.

Nothing crazy, but it seems decently fast and worked out of the box unlike the other Dell I tried to purchase. Very lightweight and compact. Disappointed it does not have a network port.

Just bought this laptop last night. Spent about a hour or so upgrading to windows 10. Thought it was funny that the computer ran slower with windows 8.1 than it does now with 10 but that's only another reason to upgrade it. I like the AC networking. Gives me incredible range and speed from my ASUS AC87 router. Paired perfectly fine with my Bluetooth speaker with solid range. I wish it had a number pad but I can live without it, since I bought this computer at a steep clearance discount at my Best Buy store. Also the backlit keyboard seems to stay on much to long after a period of inactivity, especially watching a video. Just seems to be a waste of battery life, Battery life does seem to be satisfactory. Came out of the box at 97% after the update, downloading some software and syncing different cloud services and a half hour show streamed, I'm at 31% so that would definitely meet expectations. The only thing I'm more than likely going to upgrade down the line is the hard drive. 500gb is plenty but I rather see improved speed and boot times with a SSD. Also, that would elieviate any loud fan noises posted by another review.

Looks and feels like a Mac. Performs very well. Just wish it booted a little faster. I don't really use in the 2 and 1 function, so kind of wish I had got the Dell Touch Screen with i7 and larger hard drive instead.

I was initially disappointed in this computer. Out of the box, I immediately upgraded to Windows 10, so I never experienced it's performance with Windows 8. It was agonizingly slow, and I was regretting the purchase. I went online to search for problems with Windows 10, thinking it may be the new operating system, and found that the power-saving settings can slow Windows 10 down to a crawl. Once I figured out how to override Dell's preset power settings, performance has gotten much better. The battery doesn't last as long, but the performance is much better. One of the most annoying things about a Dell computer is the way they overlay their software over every single feature and software of the computer. I have removed as many traces of Dell software where I could, and I like it much better.

This laptop is a great upgrade from my last inspiron which lasted me quite a few years. The sleek design of the laptop compliments its easy use, Windows 8 operating system, and quick processor speeds. I have noticed one issue. When certain applications load on the laptop or there are a lot of processes at one time, the sound actually lags and bugs out for a second. It doesn't seem to be a big deal and may only be a sound card that needs a new update.

Slight rubber texture to the case ensures it does not slip out of your hands. Easy to set up and very responsive. Touch screen works great. No bottom vents so can be used on your lap or on a carpet without overheating. Flat keys on keyboard take some getting use to over previous indented key styles I am accustomed to; still not a fan of the new style keys.

At this time, this computer isn't even available from Dell just yet, so when I saw it in stock at Best Buy I had to take a look. It seems pretty well built - I don't feel like I'm going to break it carrying it around or switching between laptop and tablet modes. The first thing I did with this machine is upgrade to a Solid State Drive, which knocked boot times from 30 seconds down to 5-10 seconds. The RAM also appears to be upgradeable, although there was only one slot, so to upgrade you'd have to replace the one 8GB stick with a 16GB stick of DDR3L. Wish it had the 10-key number pad, but that's my only real gripe so far.

I bought this system for my wife to use for Internet searches and spreadsheets. Our first experience with Windows 8 and a touch screen. Have learned to be more deliberate and slow down a bit in order to operate touch screen features. Like the on screen keyboard feature.

I had to purchase a laptop to begin my new life as a high school science teacher. It needed to be durable to handle years of transit and powerful enough to run videos and display graphics on a screen. With the help of the wonderful Best Buy folks, consulting friends, and reading lots of reviews, I prayerfully chose the Dell - Inspiron 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop. It is delightfully fast, super powerful, light, large enough to see from a distance, and sturdy. I was nervous about choosing a large purchase especially when you see all the less expensive models out there; but I am SO GLAD I made the leap of faith with this great quality machine! I consider this a huge asset to my success in teaching!

I'm not from US and I bought this computer during my vacations. Product itself was perfect but i decided to buy an "Open Box" machine. At the beginig I was worried because if i had an issue i could not return it back, but I test it during my stay on US and everything was ok. I really love this machine and my dougther use it as her principal machine.

It's not bad for the price...I never use it as a tablet but the touch screen does come in handy. I'm not a big dell fan but for the price this laptop does a great job for an extra laptop in the house for homework or netflix.

I opted to go right to windows 10, and had I not done this, I probably would have scored it higher. I think 10 takes on more the the system RAM, thereby increasing the "churn" that I was hoping to get away from.
