Switching to ecobee has been such a pleasant experience. Coming from the Nest ecosystem has been a welcome change. I really love the interface on this thermostat. It’s easy to adjust the temperature and the screen is big and bright. I especially like that it has integrated smart assistants for whatever ecosystem you have. I will say that one downer that I discovered after purchasing is that you WILL NOT get the interactive doorbell screen unless you already have an ecobee doorbell. While that makes complete sense now, I automatically assumed that it would function like an Amazon Echo as there is Alexa integration. I was very wrong. It doesn’t diminish the product in any way. I just had expectations that were dashed because I didn’t research before buying. So, if that feature is appealing to you, just know that you have to already have an ecobee doorbell. The sensor was super easy to set up. It comes pre-paired so I had no trouble at all. It basically captures the temperature of the rooms you have them placed in and sets the average on the main thermostat. So, while the immediate location of the thermostat may actually be 65 degrees, it will show the average of all temperatures in the home, which could be 68. So, while this is very effective at keeping the AC on until specific rooms are at a target temperature, you can have cold spots in your home. Not a big deal to us so we are happy with the performance. Overall, this is a fantastic device that has excellent build quality. The screen is glass so it will break if dropped or bumped. I actually dropped mine and caught it with my food, but it barely hit the baseboard and left a small chip. I reached out to ecobee and they actually sent me a new thermostat. They truly have excellent service. I honestly can’t recommend this enough if you are in the market. The whole product and software are fantastic. If you are on the fence, just get the ecobee. You won’t regret it.

This thermostat is great! I'm able to change the temperature no matter where I am and it alerts me when the air quality is low. It also alerts me when I need to change my air filter.

I purchased the Ecobee after owning Google Nests for years and I can say I prefer the Ecobee. The Homekit features are so nice to have after years of not having it with the Nest. The installation was extremely easy. I also purchased two additional sensors and it was a breeze to connect. I definitely recommend this product!

Very easy to install. At first, the reviews made it sound like it was very challenging to install. I found out after researching that if your house was older than 90’s it could be somewhat challenging but not impossible. The step that might be difficult for some is having a blue wire for constant power. A adapter is also given with purchase, just in case you don’t have that blue wire that runs from the furnace to your wall mount. If you do have to use the adapter, it’s very simple and the 4 wires needed are marked on adapter just so you are aware. So, this is a definite upgrade from what I had in my house. I had a somewhat older version where you could select times and dates. It was good but I wanted to be able to control the thermostat from my phone because of my schedule with work, family, etc. I’ve had it for almost a month now and I haven’t had a problem with it yet. The learning period of it was very simple and user friendly. What I also like about it is the fact I don’t have to replace batteries any longer. One thing to check into after purchasing this Ecobee, is the rebate through your electrical company. I have ComEd and I’m receiving a rebate in 4 weeks. All in all I’m happy with purchasing this one vs the Nest. I rented a house out that had the Nest and it was very similar but I really like the Ecobee more because it’s slightly bigger and it’s easier to read and work with. Plus the base mount that the Ecobee sets on covered my existing open box where the wires came out of. I’ll take a few pics to show. Just bought one of the best thermostat on the market.This thing does so much that even after you read the instructions its's not enough. I was having problem figuring how to adjust thermostat so i called customer service. BOY was that a great experience. Not only did she tell me how to use it she also told how there were other functions this thermostat did i didn't know about.They also sent me email how to work it to better save me money

We have been using the ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium for about 1 month now and love it. It replaced an old AprilAire programmable thermostat. Installation was pretty simple once I sorted out the wiring running to the old thermostat. I had an extra wire (3 extras actually) that the old thermostat did not use that I connected to 24V common on the furnace control center (which Bryant did a good job of hiding from plain view) to use as the "C" wire on the ecobee. If you don't have a "C" wire available, ecobee includes their Power Extender Kit (PEK) in the box that you can use as an alternative. With the old thermostat, the entire HVAC system ran based upon the temperature in our dining room (one of our least occupied rooms). With the ecobee system, we now have the thermostat in the dining room plus 3 additional SmartSensors (1 included, 2 purchased) in the basement, main floor and master bedroom. The system can either average the readings from all sensors or you can set it up to use any combination of sensors depending on your needs. For example, overnight the sensor in our master bedroom has full control over the HVAC system. However, I can still see readings from the other sensors. There is even a Follow Me mode that you can use. These sensors also include occupancy and freeze detection which I plan to use for additional automations in the future. I should also note that I actually spoke to my local Bryant HVAC contractor when trying to decide between the ecobee and Nest thermostats. The contractor stated that outside of the high-end Bryant Evolution Connex Control, they only install ecobee smart thermostats. There is actually an ecobee Smart Thermostats Powered by Bryant section on the Bryant website.

Product was easy to install and setup. So far it has been an excellent product and the smart features are spectacular. The app is very useful when I am away from home. Looking forward to utilizing the features more as I become accustomed to the thermostat. Recommended highly.

I did a lot of research and landed on this one. It was fairly easy to install and has all the features I needed. Really like that it works with the Apple Home ecosystem. I even added the home security service to it and got ride of the overpriced SimpliSafe. I love the alerts it proves to stay on top of HVAC maintenance as well as big humidity. Also really love the additional sensors you can attach to balance out the temp across multiple rooms in your house. It’s made my upstairs bedrooms more comfortable and balanced.

I could not be happier with this purchase. The install was incredibly easy and I love having the ability to adjust the temperature from my phone. I have a few automations set up and have it added to my Apple Homekit along with all of my other smart home accessories. Definitely worth the money.

I love this thermostat so far. Super easy instructions, I was able to install myself. I did need the c wire adapter kit. Works perfectly :) I love the temp drops when im sleeping and when im away at work. It now knows my schedule . 10/10 recommend
