This is the must have device if you are looking to record clips that are longer than 5 minutes on Xbox One! You will only need to connect this to a computer in order to begin recording. If you forget to record, the device allows you to see your recent gameplay and select what to record!

Although this card pushed my budget I definitely think it was worth it. The highlight is definitely the free software that comes with it as it is very versatile and easy to use. The Elgato Game Capture HD is overall a solid product that works perfectly for me!

Small lightweight download program comapny site it records 480/720 if use vga cables in hdmi cable recording it record in 1080p I recomend getting this price is little high almost 200.00 but still worth it small light weight, eady to set up

I bought the Elgato game capture hd for $141 and it was the best purchase I made because it is so simple to use and setup. The editing software is minimal but good.

This is a great product, the software is a bit difficult to deal with at first but the hardware simply works very well. No complaints and it does what it says, the audio is a bit difficult to master with fade in and out. Otherwise, its just a learning curve.

This capture card requires a TON of RAM to use, and the software is extremely buggy. You'll have many failed recording sessions simply because the capture card software will glitch out when you select to stop recording and, even though the button will "turn off", you'll still notice the red dot on the icon on your taskbar that indicates it is in fact still recording. If you try to close it out, it won't say that it's exporting footage, and will say that there is an active recording in progress. IF THIS HAPPENS, THERE IS NO WAY TO SALVAGE THE FOOTAGE. IF YOU'RE RECORDING A LET'S PLAY AND THE SOFTWARE BUGS OUT LIKE THIS AND YOU FORGOT TO MAKE A FEW BACKUP SAVES, YOU WILL LITERALLY BE FORCED TO START COMPLETELY OVER FROM SCRATCH. This seems to be a very common issue at least for me. It should also be mentioned that the website lists the minimum system requirements as only 4GB RAM, but it's impossible to record even low-detailed graphics at 720p/60 FPS without the recording "skipping" at 16 gigs of RAM (32 installed, but motherboard capped off at 16). If one was to try to record, for example, Tales of Symphonia from Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, they would not be able to due to the footage corrupting from skips simply because the capture card requires so much RAM to operate smoothly. The Flashback Recording feature doesn't seem to work with mine, either, as I am forced to actually hit record, rather than it passively recording just by being connected as a "just in case you do something awesome unexpectedly" feature.

Great capture card! The best capture card out there! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to record and be a BIG hit on social media!

This is a great product for any one who makes video game videos and it has really good quality.

Quoting my teenage son - "Using HVID capture cord from PS3 to ElGato then USB from ElGato to Computer and HDMI from ElGato to TV. Recording video and sound lags a bit but no lag during play on the TV. If I miss recording something I can backtrack on the PS3 and still record it for posting online! HDCP fix/update from Sony for PS4 is coming soon. Can't wait!"

When I first tried this captured card on my PS3 the graphics was great including the audio. The only thing i had to fiqure out is the right setting to use for my livestreaming.

I purchased this for my son to post his gaming videos. In the beginning, he had so many issues, that it was almost returned. I'm not sure if it is Windows 8 or the system, but it would never sync up. He is now using my computer with Windows 7 and seems to be working better. I think it is a learning process and takes time to figure out the best way to set up the system.

I bought this product for $179.99 which is a hefty purchase. Now, its nothing more than a paperweight. I have a brand new computer using windows 7 and when I go to download the software I get an error message reading that its not a verified windows installer and cannot be used with the computer. This renders the product useless, when I tried to contact support, no one answered. I went to their forums and twitter and still no response. By far the worst customer service I have ever used and will NEVER buy another El Gato product again.
