    Great speakers

    Used these guys to install wall and floor speakers as well as a projector for my media room. The install went great, installer was on time and finished the job as described. I had a small problem with on of the speaker after he left, called him and he returned the next day fixed the problem and been enjoying my install every day. The installer cleaned up too.

    Know more going in on Roku & capability with TV's

    The initial meeting to discuss my cutting my satellite provider and going with an alternative source for all television entertainment went pretty well. I an retired and was going to cut off the satellite regardless of what I was able to watch (at $140 a month with no premium channels). All was explained, the first TV was done in the package quoted as a test to see how I would like the alternative. I didn't really understand how to switch ON, and go between Roku & FM channels. When the total install was complete, it took me a few days to just watch anything. Kind of the bums rush on "understand, this one is just like the other". I had an adequate grasp and am not fumbling through channels. It would have been helpful to know up front what TV best works with the Roku, and the importance of all TV's being similar in capability so they would be more compatible with each other. Overall I was pleased, and would recommend the service. Printed guides for using 3 different remotes for sometimes each TV could easily be made and printed to leave with the customer. Which remote turns TV on, which remote you use to switch between whichever channel they set for regular free channels and Roku and in my case one remote only for on/off and volume, another for HDMI 1 and Roku, and the Roku for channel selection. Thank goodness I'm not any older than I am.

    Geek squad was pretty good.

    The first time the Geek squad was here, they couldn't install either tv b/c the mounts the consultant ordered were incorrect for the TVs, or to fit around are flat screen pre-wire above our mantal. The lead geek squad person, Dave, was very knowledgeable and said they would go back and research and order the correct ones, which he did within 2 days and told us when they arrived, we would call them to set up installation. Once the mounts arrived we called and they setup installation within a couple of days. Dave and a different Geek Squad member came out. Dave, was extremely efficient, but unfortunately the other Geek Squad member, who was working on the upstairs TV installation, had to keep asking him for help. Dave was very thorough did a great job in installing the mount, mounting the TV and instructing us on use of the TV. He did have to go back and redo some of the work that the other Geek Squad member had done upstairs. I give Dave a 5-star rating and the other Geek Squad member, only about a 3.

    In-home consultation

    At first I felt that the consultation just confirmed the basic direction I was heading. I didn't feel that any suggestions were presented in the consultation. However, as we progressed through the design and equipment purchases, we moved to projection and I realized that the consultation helped me better understand the HDMI connecting options in a way I hadn't understood before. There was also mention of some RF remote that I need to find more about. I wish the consultant would have been a bit more talkative about my possibilities. This week I went to BestBuy and purchased equipment. I thought I would get specific equipment recommendations for my specific home before purchasing but I couldn't pass up the sales I found. I am now only hoping that the consultant will say I made good choices for my room configuration and that the RF remote will work with what I purchased. Being able to apply the cost of the consultation to equipment purchases made the visit worth it.

    First time use of installation service

    This was free installation service for estimate and requirement of parts needed to complete the job. I was informed verbally that I will receive an email with things require to complete the job with cost of installation. I received an email 3 days later which just included reason for that eval. Called customer care and they reported they will follow up. No answer for 1 week. Later on followed up with best buy geek squad in their shop and they said they do not send out estimate in an email and they went through the chart and quoted me price and informed to get things ready for installation and call them back. It was free service so i don't have any complain but it should answer you at the place about the price or in email without going through that.

    Geek Squad representatives, Randy & Tom, were fantastic! They both are VERY professional, knowledgeable, helpful & personable. We had an installation as well as a consultation. Randy gave us a detailed explanation of what would work best in several locations in the house including specific components & install requirements. He had some good ideas for difficult areas. They both did a great job of installing our new TV, taking great care to do it right. Tom, along with helping with the install, was very patient with us, explaining the use of the universal remote, the TV apps, etc. They both took the time required to do the job right, along with being very efficient & professional. It was obvious that they had done this before & had a lot of experience, which gave us confidence in their work. The end result is a system that works with no problems. We look forward to Randy & Tom coming back to install the other systems in the near future.

    Free Home Theater in house Consultation

    Visited best-buy to purchase a projector but, the customer service person mentioned about the free in house consultation that i can get for the home theater setup. Though, at that time i didn't had plans for home theater setup, i went ahead and scheduled one since its free and thought it might help in future. Geek Squad employee showed up on the scheduled date & time. He recommended the best place to install the projector and the type of projector i needed for the media room within the budget. He also went on suggesting different equipment (Sound system, projector screen, home theater receivers ...). If you are looking for a perfect home theater setup, then i would definitely recommend it.

    Excellent Service - Worth Every Penny!

    I had Ryan Robeson, a designer with Magnolia Systems, come to my home to consult on the location of my new Home Theater System and the relocation of my old TV, audio turntable, speakers, etc. It was very helpful. The fee for this visit was later deducted from my purchase. We then met in the store, where he helped me pick out the new TV, sound bar, DVD player, cables,remotes, etc, getting me the best deals on everything. The designer had some very good ideas and suggestions that I would not have thought of. Now, I have my old record player, VHS player, audio cassette player set up,and able to be used with my good speakers in the basement ; and I can watch or listen either upstairs or downstairs, accommodating multiple viewing/listening options. The Rose Parade, and the New Year's Day football games have never looked so good. When it came time for installation, Philip Stetler, the Geek Squad Home Theater Specialist, and Mitch, another specialist, were very positive, knowledgeable, and efficient. They worked quickly, and showed me how to use the new equipment and the old. It has been wonderful! They were all very professional, respectful, and helpful, and did not treat me like a techno-dummy (which I really AM!) Instead, they educated me.

    The men who installed my product came early and finished promptly. They were very good about asking my opinion on placement on the install, and if I needed anything else. Everything was cleaned up and installed exactly to specification. The only hinge came when we tried to use the DVD player for the first time. We'd all agreed to put the cable box and Blu-Ray player on top of the bookshelf next to the wall mount. What we didn't take into consideration was that if we want to play DVD's, we have to reach to the top of a tall bookshelf. I can reach it, but my kids cannot. In retrospect, it would have been nice if, with their experience setting these things up, they'd have been able to caution me about that. Other than that, though, the service was great.

    Good when integrating new with old technology

    I feel this is an excellent service. I had many different components that were older and I needed to integrate my new TV. However, I felt the consultant, while friendly, and knowledgeable, did not appear to ME to truly look at my existing receiver. I also felt as though he didn't truly understand how many and what different components I wanted to hook up. I followed the consultant back to the store and purchased the receiver recommended. However, when time came for the installers to install everything, some of the components still wouldn't work with the receiver I purchased. I would still recommend the service, but be sure everything is fully understood before finalizing the purchase.

    Not the big help I had expected but confirmed what I had already thought I needed, perhaps I thought it would be more complicated. The only negative was that products had been recommended to ensure the sound system I wanted would perform well without knowing if they were actually needed. An example was a device to increase the wireless signal just to be sure the signal was sufficient. However, after I purchased the system it turns out I did need the device. The best and most helpful result was an in home demo of the speakers. It made the sale for me. I was also informed about higher end products that would accomplish my goal. The salesman was most helpful for this process. I thought it was great he didn't focus on a single item. He also returned calls and emails in a very timely manner and has been just as helpful and honest after the sale.

    Jonathan Daniels handled our consultation and Akbar Rahimpour did the installation with assistance from another Geek Squad colleague. All members of the Geek Squad are highly professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. Jonathan was very helpful in making suggestions to improve upon our audio video system and Akbar and his associate did a super job of installing the equipment and setting up the Logitech Harmony all in one remote (which I highly recommend to anyone considering this type of remote control device). I have used the Geek Squad in the past to assist me with high end audio video purchases and equipment installation in another home I previously owned. And, I have always been delighted with their service and support. The Geek Squad is awesome and exceptional. You will not be disappointed to take advantage of their capabilities.

    Sam came to my house, looked at all of my current equipment and room size. He listened to all of my questions and concerns and made an awesome recommendation for me. I was concerned about buying an UHD (4k) TV because my stereo equipment was a little older and had been told by other misinformed people that none of my stereo equipment would work with it. Sam assured me that my equipment would work fine. He was extremely knowledgeable about the latest and greatest TV's and I could tell he genuinely cared about my budget and concerns. If you plan to buy a TV from Best Buy, there is really NO reason NOT to use this service. It ends up being free anyhow.

    The picture quality is good and clear. Easy installation and set up. Satisfied with purchase. Delivery was late due to installer getting lost but he did call and acted professional when arrived. Did not receive any benefit from the consultation, the proposal was not for the discussed television also could not decipher because was in code numbers, basically a waste of money.

    Dave and partner from the Geek Squad delivered and set up my new TV a LG OLED55B6P. They placed it on my stand, neatly tied up all of the cables, connected the Blueray and VCR, and expertly programmed the new Harmony remote. PLUS took all the time necessary to explain all the features. They also noted that the picture would be MUCH improved if I ordered the Calibration, which I did. Craig came on the date and time promised and did an unbelievable job with the calibration making the picture much better than I would have ever anticipated. Thank you Geek Squad and Best Buy!! I also greatly appreciate the expert advice received from the sales team while deciding which TV to purchase.

    We paid to have an audio specialist come out at the time we purchased our 4K TV. The fellow who came out was very friendly and knowledgable. I learned a lot about what is on the market today and the pros and cons of different systems. I would have to say that this service is only useful and worth the money if you are looking to install a top of the line sound system. The in store Best Buy people can answer all of you other questions and it will not cost you $100.

    Every aspect of our home theater installation went very smoothly. We were very impressed with the experience and knowledge shown by Dwight, the consultant who came to our home. We decided to go with all his recommendations and couldn't be more pleased. The installation team, T.J. and Robert, were very professional and did a very neat and tidy job tying all the wires together and setting up all the equipment. The flat panel TV was hung on the wall and the wires were run behind the sheetrock. The entire installation was very professional. The universal Harmony remote is very easy to operate. I strongly recommend the Geek Squad for home theater installation!

    I love the products, but poor in store experience. It took over 2 hours the first time in the store for the initial purchase due to computer problems checking out. Second time back to purchase the remaining speakers took over an hour due to computer issues and problems using my reward coupons (had to use three diffrent computers to finaly complete the order). The staff was very friendly, however it did become very frustrating.
