    Great Top Load Washer

I love this washer. I wanted a top load washer with a large agitator - not a short stubby HE one - as I had heard (and I knew from experience) that these types of washers don't clean clothes well. This washer has more washing options than you will ever need and is very quiet. I really like the push button start and the automatic water fill level option. The capacity is HUGE. It does seem to take longer to wash a load than my old washer did and, of course, everything is plastic. Finally, the price was very reasonable compared to other washers. I'd highly recommend this purchase if you are looking for a top load washer with a large agitator.

    Keeps My Clothes Clean

We were looking for a basic, but energy efficient top loading washer and this washer fit the bill! The washer is energy and water efficient, quiet, and easy to use! My husband and I have "normal" washer needs--clean clothes for work (office jobs) and play (ballet, biking, hiking), clean kitchen, bath and bed linens, and the occasional dog bed/blanket washing. We have had clean clothes/linens with every wash, the regular spin cycle gets them ready for the dryer, and the washer pauses if you lift the lid to throw in a last minute item. We are looking forward to many years of clean clothes! (p.s. the matching dryer is pretty swell too!)

I didn't realize how good clothes can smell! I guess my old washer just wasn't doing it. I love how quiet the washer is..... I wasn't prepared for how much longer a load takes to wash now, but I guess it is because of the longer rinse and spin cycles. This washer has many different settings, including jeans and sheets. I also washed a comforter that my old washer never could have handled!

I have really enjoyed my new washing machine. I'm glad I found a big non-HE with an agitator. The installer didn't necessarily care for this model, which worried me a little. It has been working great for us. The tub is HUGE compared to our old machine. Our older dryer has a hard time getting the larger loads dry. We have to remind ourselves to not do such large loads of laundry. It is very quiet as well. We have to open our laundry room door just to see if it's running. No complaints or problems thus far.

I am very happy with this washer. It has several settings for all different types of laundry - jeans, towels, sheets, permanent press, cotton, whites, colors. You can set it to automatically choose your water level, so you don't have to worry about whether you are setting the level to low. The water temperature setting has the basic (hot, warm, cold) but also has a setting for "colors". It also has separate settings for using fabric softeners and extra rinse and soak cycles. All the settings make it so easy for any member of the family to wash their own clothes. This washer runs very quietly - you may even forget you were washing clothes! It has a large capacity, so you can even wash your blankets (double/queen size).

    Great Top Loader

I can't speak to long term reliability, but I have done 20+ loads since installation. I am comparing it to a previous top loader from Kenmore that I was satisfied with. It cleans better than my previous machine and "dries" better, reducing the dryer time. It appears to use much less water. I do not use the auto sense water feature, because I can judge the size loads and some previous reviwers did not recommend it. Pros: Large Tub, quiet operation, many cycle choices. Cons: The length of cyles are not visible. Previous machines used a dial indicator. This machine uses lights to indicate the cycle. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the belief that front loaders are more efficient. If you want a top loader, this is a great buy.

We had to purchase this washer because the bearings went out on our not quite 3 year old LG front loader. This washer has a large stainless steel tub and lots of different settings. The only drawback so far is that you need to manually select water settings to get enough water to cover the clothes in the tub. Overall, this machine is super quiet, except for the "jet engine like noise" that occurs at the beginning of the spin cycles-but this certainly can't compare with the metal grinding on metal sound that the LG front loader (with bad bearings) made for the last 3 months. It takes less time to wash clothes in this top loader, especially compared to the front loader. I think our clothes come out cleaner too! Overall, going back to the "old school" top loader was the best decision we've made in the laundry department in quite some time!

I bought this machine based on budget the fact it was not an HE washer and that it still had an agitator. I had to get use to the fact that it does not use a lot of water. Even the super load only use a small portion of water. It does get my clothes clean. It is really quiet. You only hear the click of the agitator when it is adjusting the load. I do wish it had a load a spot for the detergent so that when you use the precise water fill mode it could mix the detergent in better. So I just always use a manual load. Another thing is you can't change from a manual water load mode to the precise mode it will drain all the water and start over. So know what you want before you start. The drum of the washer is huge and deep. I like that. Overall it is a great washer. I probably should have stayed simple and got the matching dryer. Good product and great price.

We bought this washer mostly due to the price because we needed a new one quickly. The large tub is great, however the auto-fill doesn't work that great. (you're still easily able to select the load size though). The cycle times take longer than our old washer, the spin cycle sounds like a helicopter is landing nearby and the agitator turns all your clothes into an intertwined pretzel. Other than those few things, the washer was inexpensive (compared to others out there) and it gets the job done!

I bought this machine to replace an old Kenmore we had for 15 years that finally went to pot. This washer is quiet and cleans the clothes quite well. So far I have been satisfied with my purchase. There was two times the water wasn't spun completely out of the clothes even on extended spin. I think I figured out the issue though, the clothes might have been out of balance. Other than that it is a great machine. I wish though that it had an end of cycle buzzer as the loads do take a lot longer to wash compared to my old Kenmore.

This machine met expectations...large capacity, traditional low efficiency agitator style. The overall size is a bit smaller than the machine it replaced, and the tub a deeper reach. It has a good selection of washing speeds, temps, water capacity, along with an auto select. The Best Buy price was at least 20 percent less than their local competitors, and installation was on time and well done. This machine is also quiet, which is important to us, as the laundry is near the family room. If you are looking for a cost effective traditional wash machine, this definitely fits the bill.

Free and quick delivery was a big plus and they hauled away old machine. The new washing machine is quiet, gets clothes clean and sounds like a jet when the spin cycle gets going, not loud at all. Which results in drier clothes going into the dryer.

Machine ok so far, only had for 3 weeks. Only use the manual water level settings, the auto precise fill settings will not cover your clothes with water. Once you set the wash cycle, you can not change it or it will dump the water already in it and start over, so be sure to set it right the first time. The spin cycle seem to last for a very long time. Very different quite sound while washing cycles. Seems to get clothes clean when you get enough water in it.

I really love this washer and am so pleased with its performance. I wanted a top-loading washer that was not HE. This washer is pretty much a hybrid. I like the automatic water fill feature instead of deciding "is my wash load a small or a medium?" I let the machine decide and fill the water level accordingly. (Some have complained that the water does not fill that high. This is a water saving machine, but my clothes do get very clean. Do not judge how well the washer is working by peeking at the water levels) .But for those who prefer not to use that feature (the automatic water fill feature), you can turn the knob to Max, extra large, large, medium and small, depending upon how much laundry you have. I love that there are settings for towels and/or sheets, for jeans and for colors. I do not find the washer noisy at all. In fact, sometimes I don't even know it's running, it is so quiet. The only possible drawback for some people may be how deep the drum is. I can only say to try it out first and see if you can reach the bottom of the washer before you buy it. A+ GE washer overall, I am so happy that I bought it. And the Best Buy delivery was flawless. Juan (I think his name was) was amazingly professional and efficient. He hooked the washer up in no time flat and hauled away the old one. A+ to Best Buy as well.

I did not want a high efficiency washer, but it is hard to find a conventional washer these days. This is the only one that I could find that met my requirements. I like the large stainless steel drum and the quiet operation of the washer. I wish the control settings were true analog rather than electronic-not user friendly. If you change a setting after you push the start button, the washer will stop filling with water and the water will start draining out. The same thing happens if you lift the lid after you push the start button.

For the money, this is an excellent machine. It works Quietly, which I prefer as it is right next to the kitchen on the main floor. My old washer made a huge noise when it spun out and shook the floor. This one is much quieter. It seems to wash well but on the auto cycle that sets the water depth (which saves the overall money because you use far less water) you need to pretreat everything or it won't be clean. But each load can be customized for water level, water temp, jeans, towels, delicates, etc. But it is the last of the breed. The newest machines come with a manual and you will have to teach everyone in the family how to operate it. This one has three knob selectors and a push button to start and a agitator.

When reading the features for this machine, it appeared too good to be true for the price. A variety of controls for size, temp and wash cycles. Large capacity in a small footprint. Energy star rated estimating only 208 kWh per year. Had always used warm water and powdered detergent with my old machine. My daughter insisted on using cold water and powdered detergent with this machine. Purchased about a month ago and we are completely satisfied with its features and performance.

Bought this one mainly because it is one of few top load washers that still have a agitator. Read several good reviews and have had no problems so far. Yes, it makes different noises and cycles do run longer but it cleans the clothes. Important features are ability to pick water level and a soak feature. Problems are you really cant open lid to add anything after start or it drains. Why do all the "new and improved" appliances have strange new quirks we have to deal with?

This washer has a sensor for water saving. Sounds great right??? It isn't. When I put a full load in the washer it will not fill up with water. I get maybe 2 inches of water on a super setting. My clothes do not even get wet. I have had to rewash my clothes several times. Also when I use the soak mode to soak my whites it barely fills up with water. How can you soak your clothes if they are not submerged in water? I am so upset that I wasted $500 on this piece of garbage. I posted pics that show the amount of water I get on a super setting. And this is a 3.9 cubic foot wash basin.

This Energy Star rated washer is a great value for the price. It's easy to use and has all the basic features, plus a few more. I like that you can select the load size (small - super) or it has a precise fill Auto-Load sensing feature which adjusts the amount of water needed accordingly and helps to conserve water. It's very quiet compared to other washers I've had. I definitely would recommend this product, especially to those tempted to pay a lot more for an HE washer.
