Not really loader friendly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My last dishwasher was a Miele and had a better silverware tray and was a lot easier to load. The end product is good and clean, just can't load as much in it or as easily.

Our dishwasher died within two weeks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within two weeks of installing our new dishwasher the panel died and the dishwasher was completely non-functioning. It was almost three weeks before we had a working dishwasher again.

Terrible Dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Features are great. Easy to use. But drain pump broke within 2 months of purchase. Unbelievable!!! Thank goodness it was 2 months and not 12 months after purchase. Otherwise, it would have cost me $300 to repair.

Finally, a dishwasher that actually washes dishes!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased our last dishwasher about six years ago, and after several repair attempts, used it mostly to dry dishes. After reading reviews here, we finally bit the bullet and bought a new one. We are so happy. Note: This review is being written after two months of use. The dishwasher looks fantastic. The lone light on the front and the clean handle make for a sleek and professional look. The options are very strong. The dishes have ALWAYS come out clean. Plastic items don't dry all the time, but that seems pretty normal. There is a thin top rack (a third rack) that won't do for caked on dirt, but cleans utensils and spatulas and the like nicely, adding space to store. It is SUPER QUIET. The cycles take a while, but I'm fine with that too. I recommend it extremely highly.

Very quiet and does good job
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had this dishwasher for 6 weeks but so far I'm happy with it. It definitely is very quiet when it's on, which when we are watching TV in area next to kitchen you only know it's on when you hear water draining. Dishes are left dry and spotless after just running it in normal cycle. Only thing is when loading dishes sometimes I accidently push start button without meaning to, which now that I know that I just try to be more careful at avoiding doing that. Also, you do get fingerprints on front top of dishwasher when opening and closing door but is easy to clean up. Negative is that it only has a 4-hour delay and not the option of also a 2-hour delay start time.

Dishwasher works as suggested
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had no problems with this dishwasher. It is quiet and does a decent job of washing all 3 levels. I did a good amount of research prior to purchasing this unit. It seems that with every model on the market, people will always have an issue. In the end, I made my best judgement based on the brand and the quality of the negative and positive reviews. This one came out ahead and does a much better job than my 10 year old bosch.

Worked Great Until It Didn't!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed 12/2014 [4 years old] and would rate it 5 stars up until 11/2018 when the *computer* died and repair would have cost $450. with no guarantee that other parts might fail. Still had to pay $120 for service call. Only used 1 x weekly, physically in brand-new condition - but not worth risking additional sunk costs. Strongly recommend full extended warranty on all new appliances. Dries dishes better than Bosch, no spotting, quiet running, no odor. Will purchase KitchenAid again.

Very pleased with thie dishwasher!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this KitchenAid dishwasher to replace an old Maytag that had seen better days. We couldn't be more pleased with the performance and the design of our new KitchenAid. Our dishes, flatware, pots, pans and glasses all come out spotless and DRY (we are using the rinse aid as recommended). If I could change one thing about this dishwasher I would design it to allow the third rack a bit more depth so you could use it for objects that are larger in height. But the rack is useful for long spoons, knives and a variety of odds and ends. When we were shopping for dishwashers we noticed some of the mechanics in other machines really looked flimsy and complicated, but the KitchenAid interior looks sturdy. We have had our dishwasher several weeks and there have been no glitches. All in all, we highly recommend this model.

Awesome dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best dishwasher I've ever had. It's been working well on the light and regular cycles. I use the heated dry and run it overnight. The next morning everything comes out completely dry. Last night I put a glass casserole dish in the bottom with all other dishes. It had been used for roasted potatoes and was loaded with olive oil and browned remnants. I used the strongest wash and this morning it was clean and dry. Love it!

Not what I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not at all happy with this dishwasher. When the upper rack is lowered to accommodate something taller i.e. wine glasses with stems, I cannot put dinner plates in the bottom rack as the spray arm under the upper rack cannot spin as it hits the dishes. Also the third rack that I was so impressed with in the store (and was the deciding factor to purchase this particular dishwasher) is not useful at all. You can adjust the plastic trays in the third rack to be either shallow or a bit deeper. While the shallow position has little to no use. if you switch the trays to the slightly deeper position you have to lower the upper rack or you cannot put regular glassware in it, which in turn means dinner plates cannot be in the lower rack. Not sure what the heat dry cycle accomplishes as the cups and glasses in the upper rack need to be dried with a towel before being put away. Now after only having it in my new home since the end of January the stainless finish is having issues. I have used the recommended stainless steel cleaner/polish on it and it is discolored. I wish I had read the reviews on Kitchen Aid's website before purchasing this model as there are many reviews stating the issues with the racks and heat dry cycle. I am sure I would not have purchased this dishwasher if I had known about these issues. Other than being a very quiet running dishwasher for me it has no other redeeming qualities.

huge mistake!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well at six months old the pump has died.... THANKFULLY. Bringing to an end my time with the worst dishwasher imaginable! Here is a short list of the things I've hated most about this dishwasher. 1st, it does not dry the dishes, yes, it has heated dry, but they still come out wet. If you use the expensive rinse aid, it does a little better, but, they still need to be dried by hand after washing. 2nd, the lower tray falls out of it's track every time you open the door. 3rd, it takes 4 hours to run a load all the way through... doesn't that seem a little excessive? I really am glad this thing has died young. I have wanted to get rid of if after the very first use....

Skip the install & kit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to install this on my own but Kitchen Aid products were reduced installation fee that month. After waiting 2 weeks for a window, the installer showed up, didn't disconnect the electric at the panel, fell down my steps while hauling out the old dishwasher, by himself in his arms, no dolly. Unacceptably unsafe. When he fell he left marks all over the carpet and didn't even bother to say anything. I asked about the install kit I purchased and where it was - no answer. Waste of money. He then came back in the door with the new dishwasher, again in his arms. After he had it in, he asked me to reset the breaker - he obviously tripped it somewhere. He pulled some of the plastic off and when he saw that it left marks he told me I'd have to do the rest and that "some of the marks will go away after I polish it some more". He then stared at me looking for a tip when he was done. I tried to reach Best Buy about this and it's what you expect - a never ending phone message prompting you to press so many buttons that the answering service finally hangs up on you. No follow up calls - nothing. I'd really have to be persuaded to go back again. I'll be replacing the rest of our appliances from the local store down the street.

Better Have Geek Squad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had this product for 4 months. I'm currently on hold with Geek Suad for the third repair ticket I'll need to file. And each one of those calls is a minimum of an hour hold time.... and a weeks worth of paperwork. Managing this appliance is a part time job. It will only last as long as my Geek Squad plan, because it breaks every ouple of weeks. I wish on my lucky stars I had found a better machine. That said, it is very pretty and looks great in my kitchen. If only it worked... and if only Best Buy ever answered their phones.
