When the laptop is turned off, the monitor also shuts down to save power. In contrast, my other monitor remains on and requires me to manually switch it off at night.

The wrong cable was recommended and returned, but the correct cable was not in the store at the present time. Very good value as the LG was on sale for a fantastic price! Very pleased!

My only complaint is if you are using a program or app with a dark background the colors are really light and I have not been able to adjust it.
